Complaint Review: Community Health Resources - North Central Counseling Services - Enfield Connecticut

Well I started off as a patient at North Central Counseling Services and things were going good for a while. I mean hey they only take state insurance nothing private. So all the financial strained and disabled people flock there so there already disorganized as it is.

The more I had counseling services for North Central the more I hated the way they did business. First of all they have very bad therapists there that don't even have a doctorates degree in psychology. They have their Masters or Bachelors in counseling. I don't think that is enough credentials to screw with my mind.

The therapists there are not experienced enough especially the ones for young adult ACT team its just like they are getting out of college. This is a big organization that should have experienced therapists first of all.

I find out that they don't do certain therapies like EMDR. Shouldn't a big organization have at least one EMDR clinician. I mean they got to have almost everyone that seeks counseling there that at least has post traumatic stress disorder. And if you got that you at least need some EMDR to make the symptoms go away.

Now I like the fact that when you're with CTT the adult outreach program because the therapist comes to you. Now this is where they take it too far. When you try to get in touch with them you have to always leave a voice mail. Then they are supposed to return your calls. I have no problem with that except when you are constantly playing phone tag. That's unprofessional to me. And then when they don't speak to you because of the constantly back and forth play, they so called "worry" and end up sending a mobile crisis unit when you are doing absolutely fine. If you aren't then they call the police and have you escorted to the hospital by force. I don't know can you actually be taken to the hospital by force? That's a bunch of lawsuit for me.

Then I finally got back to my therapist and wondered why she called mobile crisis. She said she was confused about my whole situation. Well I think you can only be confused when you get the wrong information. Which goes into play when your just constantly leaving messages to each other instead of talking face to face. I guess if you're that big of an organization they promise much but don't put out if you know what I mean.

Maybe I shouldn't be too let down from them for that reason. But it gets kind of personal when they bad mouth you to you're landlord behind your back. I think that is a lawsuit waiting to happen. See when you are as good a person as I am it don't take long to become friends with your landlord. And well she happens to own the most famous restaurant I know because the President of the United States wants her to cook for them for three days.

Her exact words are they said "Why do you even want her to rent from you?" "She did drugs and is suicidal!" Well technically that is a violation of Hippa Laws and lying on their end. Because I never did one drug in my entire life!!! No wonder I can't find good housing. They are bad mouthing me behind my back to my landlord. She isn't part of my treatment plan or my life for that matter!!! Yeah talk about ridiculous. Whoever did that is going to have their license from practicing suspended for eternity and to the next life!!

Plus they put me on medication that is giving me medical problems and pain, but a serious disease that is autoimmune related. I just found out today what it was. And that it may kill me. I think its geodon, an antipsychotic, but not sure. I don't know why they even prescribe those medications if they are that dangerous. Not only is this disease very very painful, but can also prove to be fatal. Its called HSP. Look it up on the internet its fatal if you don't get off all your medications or the one that is causing it soon.

So please I beg of you all that are going to North Central, please be careful if you ever deal with them. They may spread information that is false and against the Hippa laws. If you do have state insurance there are plenty of other therapists that take it and are better than North Central Counseling Services.
