Commerce Payment Systems  This company took money out my checking account that was there error (over $200.00) and had not put the money back in.I was on hold literally over 1 and half hours  holding for someone to pick up, Hewlett, New York  *EDitor's Suggestions on how to get your money back into your bank account when someone wrongfully takes it from you!

I looked at my bank account and realized there was a huge error. This company took out over $200.00 in "fees" that did not apply to my account. After waiting over an hour and half and being the next person to be helped, their automatic system then said "you have 9 people ahead of you" so I called back, finally after about 45 minutes, I got a customer service rep.They verified that it was their error. So i asked them to put the money back as quickly as they took it out, they said they couldnt do that!! Really??I told the man, how amazing it was they deducted it real fast, but now its this huge problem to put it back in ?? they are ACH company!! this is NO problem for a company to do!! The man said , we'll send a check instead after i told him they would have to pay my nsf fees due to their "mistake" its been 14 days... still no check.

I called again after about 10 days, the secretary said they were all "busy" and yet again, n o manager anywhere in sight. They would have somoene call me back... its now 5 days later, still no call back. So... i called again-got another person (after a 45 minute hold again!) He said the first rep I spoke to put a note to give  a credit when my statement generates... In JANUARY! In the meantime im out 222.00 , which apparently, is now a huge problem for a BANK MERCHANT PROCESSOR to put back in the account... this is totally bogus! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! Oh , and when i ask for a manager (on my prior calls including today)of course there isnt one EVER available.So... it looks as if a lot of people are just managing themselves I guess!They are linked to HSBC .. which is also going to get a copy of my complaint as well as the BBB! Their customer service stinks... will NEVER use them again!!If you want to keep your money... DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!

Dear "Anonymous" Customer,

   I want to first start off by apologizing for the long wait times which is unusual. You have to understand we are fully staffed and it is the holiday season and no matter how many tech agents or customer service agents we may add, while we maintain over 25,000 merchants there will always be some hold time. We always urge that if you cannot get a hold of customer service or billing within a couple of minutes, you should always call your original rep, email them and of course on our website we offer several additional email addresses [email protected] and [email protected] and because I don't know which merchant you are I cannot verify if you have made that attempt or not.

   As to you claiming we offered you a credit on your January statement, I think it might have been a miscommunication. We don't offer future credits. It sounds to me like the rep you spoke with said it would show on your next statement (January). We don't offer credit to the account, we would have either sent out a check if credit was owed or routed it to your bank account in our systems which would therefore show in your bank within 24 hours.
