Columbia Telecommunications Group Double ripoff Farmingdale New York
There is a saying about beeing fooled, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." I am ashamed that this has pulled a double ripoff on me. Last year in April(2003)I purchased a Columbia Telecommunications 2.4 GHZ Cordless Telephone with Digital Answering Machine model # CT-A400 at Circut City in Escondido, California.
The telephone was advertised for $69.95, $39.95 after a rebate of $30.00. I mailed in all the requirements stated in the rebate. I have been waiting now 10 months without a word or even an answer to my email inquiries. Thinking that there could be a backlog in their rebates in October I saw advertised in a Fry's Electronics flyer for a Columbia Telecommunications battery charger for $19.95, $9.95 after a $10.00 rebate. I thought I was getting a total of $40.00 with both rebates comming. I have sent in inquiries for these rebates, the last one being in February 2004 and they don't answer.
How has this company been able to stay in business when they are falsly offering rebates for their products ?? Can there be something done ? I will surely not recommend this companies products to anyone. Even if I see a stranger in a store purchasing one of their products I will warn them of the deceitfullness of the rebate offer even if there isn't one offered.
