i just got a call from 303-532-4008 - Colorado Police Protection Association saying the same script provided a few topics up thanking me for the donation "that i did not make" also said that this year unfortunately all donations will not be tax deductible, and asking me if i can make a 45 dollar donation.

JAK productions is absolutely the most shady company i have ever worked for! We call people basically pretending to be law enforcement to trick them into giving money, we don't say we are police but we are not allowed to say we are not unless asked. we also commit multiple FCC violations on a daily basis. Here is a script that we use: ---------------------------------- mr/ms example: mr/ms John Doe (we say hello and the other person says hello back, thats how we know if its a man or a woman) hello, hello.. hello this is calling on behalf of the colorado police protective association ::PAUSE:: (they usually say "yes?") Mr. , the officers want to remind you to buckle up for safety and most importantly please remind your friends and family not to drink and drive. Mr , the officers are conducting there 200x fund drive and the proceeds will be used for the DEATH BENEFITS for the familys of officer who die in the line of duty along with some other wonderful programs like the bullet proof vest program to protect the officers. as a paid solicitor with J.A.K. I'm going to send you the 200x CPPA decal that way you can show your great support to the officers. the donation levels are the gold at 45 the silver is 35 and the bronze is 25 this year. I will go ahead and put you down for the 35 unless you want to reach up and touch the gold or silver this year, does the 35 sound fair enough to you? rebutle 1: Mr , not only does the cppa provide death benefits but it also provides a scollarship program for the sons and daughters of the officers. now can the officers count on you for a goodwill pledge of 20. rebutle 2: Mr can the officers count on you for a booster pledge of 15 or 12? -------------------------- If you would like to help combat this scam, tell the caller what he wants to hear, sure go ahead and put me down for the GOLD. at this point you can give them a fake addr or give them your correct addr and receive a free cppa decal for your vehicle. Thats ok Mr chump, the reason im calling is try to reduce your original pledge to a much lower amount of $17 and get you a new package out in the mail. I WAS HIRED BACK ON OCT 22 OF 2008,STARTING PAY 11HR, TO CALL FOR COLORADO POLICE PROTECTION a*s.,AMVETS,VIRGINIA FOP,FULTON COUNTY FOP LODGE #64,PROFESSIONAL FIREFIGHTERS OF GEORGIA,THE COLORADO POLICE PROTECTIVE FUND,AND THE COLORADO FIREFIGHTERS a*s..THEY GAVE US SCRIPTS AND SAID THAT WE HAVE TO READ THEM VERBATIM...(WHICH NOBODY EVER DOES),FOR EACH ONE OF THESE ORGANIZATIONS THAT WE CALL FOR.NOW THE LISTS THAT WE CALL ARE DIVIDED INTO 5 DIFFERENT CATERGORIES...COLD,CROSS,FALLEN ANGELS ,TAPS AND LIARS.THE COLD IS PEOPLE THAT NEVER GAVE BEFORE AND WE NEVER CALLED SUPPOSEDLY.CROSS IS A KEEP IT.NOW WHAT I DO REMEBER IS WORK OFFENSES,THE FIRST OFFENSE IS A VERBAL WARNING,THE SECOND IS A 3 DAY SUSPENSION,THE THIRD IS A 30 DAY SUSPENSION,AND FINALLY THE FOURTH IS TERMINATION.NOW OVER THE COURSE OF THE 3 MONTHS THAT I WORKED THERE PEOPLES PAYS WOULD BE LESS THAN WHAT THEY SHOULD OF BEEN THERE HOURLY RATE WOULD BE CHANGED ON THEM WITHOUT ANY GOOD CAUSE,THEY WOULD GET SUSPENDED FOR THE FIRST OFFENSE OF HAVING HIGH WRAP TIMES,GET SENT HOME AFTER AN HOUR OF BEING THERE BECAUSE THEY DIDNT HAVE A SALE OR NOT PERFORMING ON A DAY TO DAY BASIS.THEY DO NOT ADHERE TO THERE OWN COMPANIES POLICIES,AND TO DO NOT GO BY THE BOOK THEY THINK THAT SINCE THE COMPANY IS IN W.V WHICH THEY CLAIM IS A FIRE AT WILL STATE THEY CAN FIRE YOU FOR WHATEVER REASON THEY MAKE UP,AND YOU CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.NOW THIS IS THE REASON I AM TELLING EVERYONE ABOUT THIS IS BECAUSE 2 DAYS AFTER CHRISTMAS,THEY FIRED 23 EMPLOYEES SAYING THAT THE WEEK BEFORE XMAS COLLECTIONS WERE NOT GOOD AND JOHN KELLER WANTED EVERYBODY WHOS COLLECTIONS WERE BAD, FIRED.SINCE I HAVE WORKED THERE MY COLLECTIONS ON WHAT I WROTE HAS BEEN ANYWHERE FROM 30% to 65%,week to week.which is very good.all i want to know is since this was my fist bad collection which i wrote 6,000 dollars for the week and 1,100 dollars came back thats around 20%.why wasnt i warned about it or suspened for 3 days like the company handbook says.now 19 employees and 4 managers lost there job because of this but when we asked why guidelines werent followed there response was it was John Kellers decision to let you go not ours.I AM SICK AND TIRED OF TELEMARKING COMPANIES LIKE THIS THAT THINK THEY CAN DO WHATEVER THEY WANT AND CAN GET AWAY WITH IT.IF ANYONE READS THIS AND WANTS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS EMAIL ME .I HAVE ALL 23 OF US A local town used an organization (it did not sound like the original Ripoffreport) to solicit donations from the citizens. It seems even the police department did not realize the company soliciting was going to keep 85% of the proceeds, so the police only got 15%. Everyone except the company was pretty disgusted by the whole thing. If you have a donation to make to the police or fire department, send it to them directly. Years ago I was caught by the same scam. The county fire department where I live has a fund drive every year and the firemen come to your door. These men and women are volunteers and the fund drive is a way to get new equipment, etc. so I donate. At least I can see who I am donating to.

i actually work for the company j.a.k productions it stands for the owner of the company John abraham keller we as in tld by our jobs to rebuttal you down for the money when the script is pitched to you your right though cppa is non profit so it doesnt have to go under the national do not call lists along with state do not call lists the list the gentleman was referring to about not sending the money backi he was put on a no pay list which the script is like this you were contacted a few months ago and made a generous commitment of 25 ettc. a few months back however they never did receive your donations in etc/ it keeps going on but any questons email me

I checked into this Colorado Police Protective Association on the Web; this organization seems to be a group of lobbyists (warning bells). They have hired JAK Productions, Inc. to solicit the citizens of Colorado. As long as this group is using paid professional telemarketers to solicit, you can bet that JAK is keeping a big portion of your money! And JAK Productions is NOT a non-profit! I, too, was besieged with calls for the Teddy Bear Fund, the State Police Olympics, the Police Survivors Fund, etc., etc., etc. I was amazed that our Police on all levels were so needy! I felt very noble donating since all sectors of Arkansas law-enforcement seemed to be on their last legs. Did some research and discovered that LESS THAN 15% of all the money I donated was going to the Police at all! These were professional telemarketers and the bulk of my donations were going to these same people who were harassing me mercilessly all hours of the day and night! They are PAID (and paid WELL) telemarketers (to the tune of 85% of my donation going to them)! When I let them know that I had discovered what the scam was, I asked to be put on the do-not-call list and I was put on it! These people will call and actually try to make you think that they are law-enforcement officers, donating time on their days off. I did some checking; I can donate directly to the State Police or to my local Sheriffs Department and those donations ARE tax-deductible! Check with the law-enforcement department that you want to support and ask. Just tell them you want to send money without going through the middle-man. Each state has different laws, but there is usually a way to do that. Tell these poeple when they call back that you thought that you were donating to the Police, not a bunch of lobbyists!

This is probably an all out scam. I got a call from a similar organization out here in AZ and I asked for them to mail me something before I make any donations and they never evenb mailed it. Report these guys to your Attorney General. They might not even be legit, aqnd to threaten you with law enforcement is insane. Police do not even get involved in civil matters anyways. tell these to F off and not to call you again.
