I worked at Zenith Force advertising in Wolverhampton a few years. I was so lucky to get out..

Here is my experience of Cobra and Zenith force.

I was unemplyed and saw an advert in the paper for the job it didnt give a lot of information, but i thought at the time a job is a job. I rang up and was offered an Interview the next day. I went to the interview where the MD asked me a few questions about my self, he then invited me back the next day for a observation day, i was delighted.

The next day i turned up for the ob day the receptionist was lovely and friendly a really bubbly women. I waited until the MD called me in to the office to meet the person who i was going to be working with. he was taking 2 of us out. We were working at quite a local area and went to a pub where the leader  was explaining everything they did. At first it still didnt make much sence. The other girl i was out with that day said that she didnt want the job (very sensible). Any way the leader started showing me what they did (Door to Door Sales) he made it seem so easy. At about 8pm we left the area we was working in to go back to the office (although th MD had said we were finished by 8 at the latest) when i got back to the office i had another quick interview and he offered me the job. I started work the following week.

When i started i noticed that at first everyone was too over the top and too nice to me (if that makes sense). When i first started i had a loving bf who i had been with for over 3 years, but that soon changed i was working monday to friday from 9am - 10pm then saturdays 10am-5pm so i had no time for myself or to see friends and family. SLowly me and the BF split up. Below i am going to list all the faults and problems i had with Zenith force.

* i had to cancel going to my sisters wedding as there was a rally on and it was compulsary that i attended although my sisters wedding had been booked ages before i started at the company.

* you always had to be positive and "neg heads" were not allowed. Well it might just be me but you can not be positive all of the while.

* the company made false promises and unrealistic targets. Such as you will be a MD sorry i was at the company for over 6 months and the only promotions that i ever saw or heard of were to Leader no higher.

* the MD didnt like you having relationships with friends or family out side the company. If u had plans of the night he would try to keep you behind.

*the hours were totally unrealistic and i never had time to socialise or go out cause by the time i had finished walking the street in freezing tempretures you never felt like going out.

I was glad the day i left. I had moved out of my home with my parents and moved into the company house. I moved my stuff out of the company over the weekend whilst no one was at home and never turned up to work there again. I am now a mummy to a lovely little girl who i would never off been able to have if i still worked at Zenith.

My advise to anyone who is thinking about taking a job or going for an interview with a company within the cobra group is think long and hard and take into consideration everythin i and all the other people have wrote about the company.
