Coastal Insurance associates Inc DAVE KINSER CONSUMER ALERT Tarpon Springs, Florida
I went to
Coastal Insurance in Tarpon Springs to renew liability insurance for my
business and was told by Dave Kinser that Auto Owners would not renew me for
being late on a payment, and then quoted me through another insurance company a
rate that was 40-50% higher. I called Auto Owners Insurance Company and was
told that they would renew me..no problems, no issues. When confronted, Dave
Kinser at Coastal Insurance made personal attacks on me...although I've never
met him.
Dave Kinser only offered to write the policy I wanted AFTER the underwriter from Auto Owners (that I spoke to) called him. He offered to write it ONLY AFTER I caught him trying to steal from me.
I believe Dave Kinser is a dishonest person that violated his fiduciary duty to the public when he tried to swindle me. In this tough economy, he tried to punish me for falling on hard times. That very day I had the policy re-activated through another agent.

My problem is not that he wouldn't do business with me. The problem is that tried to give a more expensive policy and lied about the reason. I caught him red handed and can't help but think of how many others he did this to and got away with it. I intend to warn the public.
