The reason months went by without a response was -their factory burned down! When they finally did reply to me, they offered to replace the entire freezer, including shipping, even though only the trim strip was bad! I wish their management team had been able to keep information flowing during their crisis. However, they are definitely back in my good graces, and I can recommend them with full confidence. They do have good products at good prices. I may buy their refrigerator too.
