Your State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, Department of Law, The Capital, 2nd floor, Albany, NY, 12224 should know about how your were defrauded. Att. Gen. phone is 1-518-474-7330. Not only just to try for that refund, but to see if there are others in your State, with the same situation. This is one of those, where a Class Action Lawsuit might be considered. There is a Report here through link: http://www.ripoffreport.com/view.asp?id=65646, which details someone else's experience and success in collecting a refund. This may not apply to your situation, because there is an imposed 5 day limit. It is the contact information which might be of assistance to you. This person was from Michigan. You should reveiw your own State laws, which may vary. I also suggest reporting this to the Federal Trade Commission through their site: www.ftc.gov or Helpline: 1-877-382-4357. Make sure they are aware this company is operating with no license, and that you are at risk of losing your home. Try for that refund. Get back to us if you have a problem accessing that Rip Off Report at this site. It was submitted 8-12-2003, in the Credit & Debit Services. Hope this helps. Let us know how everything turns out, and that you can keep your home.
