First I must clarify, it is perfectly legal for any place of business, really any to sell directories. You and I could tear a page out of the phonebook, photocopy the crap and sell it to people for $50 or more. No one would be able to press charges. What the weasels are doing is completely different, and if a Class Action Lawsuit could be formed, we could ALL explain why they might pay hefty fines, and sit their asses in jail. They WILL NOT BE ABLE to avoid the False Representations Statues when the time comes. Access www.ftc.gov the website for the Federal Trade Commission, and be sure to fill out you online claim form. While your form is being processed you can call them at 1- 877-382-4357. Explain your situation and find out what more needs to be done. You might consider calling your State Attorney General Mr. J. Joseph Curran Jr. at 1-410-576-6300. His office may have something to offer. It's hard to tell from one State to the next. You really-really-really need to change ALL of your account numbers of any kind, because you will remain vulneralble to them withdrawing more money. I hope that you have by now. Clear Choice Credit does not have a license to operate, so they weren't even supposed to be calling you or anyone else. The is according to the St. Goerge business licensing office. Mrs. Jeri Hale is their additional corporate management. You might need a name if you consider placing a lawsuit later on. This is entirely up to you. We have the same contact information. I would recommend sending them a Certified Signature Required letter, demanding a refund to the address you have posted. Give them a time limit and tell them you are well aware they are conducting their business without a license. Quote the St George licensing division, so that they know you are not bluffing. Give them a 7 to 10 day time frame to respond. If they do not, you might have to sue or possibly sign on, with a Class Action Lawsuit. Hope this helps, and please change that account information.
