My report is regarding Clear Choice Credit Solutions. John Matthew called me is ID # 263 said I was approved for a $5000.00 visa credit. There would not be any annual fees, just a one time fee of $239.95 and a one time $45.95 processing fee.

But first, they would deposit $500.00 just for signing up into my checking account. Then they would withdraw $239.99 and then $45.95 for a one-time processing fee.

So it would not cost me anything. I would receive a visa card in the mail for a pre-approved credit card for $5000.00.

He assured me that the $239.95 would not be withdrawn until they made the deposit of $500.00

That did not happen. This was on June 9, 2003 and in July 2, 2003 they withdrew $45.95 I called to find out why. Just the end of july 2003 I received a package from them, with two booklets on how to establish your credit, and who I should contact for a credit card. I called them and they said to return the package for a full refund. I spoke with Marque ID # 90 She gave the the fax number to send her proof of my bank that their withdrew money in my account which I did for both amount and she said I should recieve a check from them within a week. It did not happen

I tried to reach them several time before, when the money was taken out of my account, and again now. Their Number is wrong or is a busy all the time.

They're just trying to weasel their way out of potential lawsuits.

First I must clarify, it is perfectly legal for any place of business, really any to sell directories. You and I could tear a page out of the phonebook, photocopy the crap and sell it to people for $50 or more. No one would be able to press charges. What the weasels are doing is completely different, and if a Class Action Lawsuit could be formed, we could ALL explain why they might pay hefty fines, and sit their asses in jail. They WILL NOT BE ABLE to avoid the False Representations Statues when the time comes. Access www.ftc.gov the website for the Federal Trade Commission, and be sure to fill out you online claim form. While your form is being processed you can call them at 1- 877-382-4357. Explain your situation and find out what more needs to be done. You might consider calling your State Attorney General Mr. J. Joseph Curran Jr. at 1-410-576-6300. His office may have something to offer. It's hard to tell from one State to the next. You really-really-really need to change ALL of your account numbers of any kind, because you will remain vulneralble to them withdrawing more money. I hope that you have by now. Clear Choice Credit does not have a license to operate, so they weren't even supposed to be calling you or anyone else. The is according to the St. Goerge business licensing office. Mrs. Jeri Hale is their additional corporate management. You might need a name if you consider placing a lawsuit later on. This is entirely up to you. We have the same contact information. I would recommend sending them a Certified Signature Required letter, demanding a refund to the address you have posted. Give them a time limit and tell them you are well aware they are conducting their business without a license. Quote the St George licensing division, so that they know you are not bluffing. Give them a 7 to 10 day time frame to respond. If they do not, you might have to sue or possibly sign on, with a Class Action Lawsuit. Hope this helps, and please change that account information.
