This customers pool was surfaced with a quartz aggregate interior finish product called Krystal Krete. If the pools water chemistry is not kept within the proper ranges by the customer then calcium can fall out of solution and create scaling on the surface creating white streaks. We visited the jobsite and offered to retrain the customer on how to take proper care of the pool or refer them to a qualified pool service company. The customer claimed the surface was defective so we contacted the manufacturer. They sent a representative to inspect the pool and took a water sample. The sample concluded the water chemistry was not within the proper ranges and this was documented in a letter to the customer. We offered to correct the scaling problem which was caused by neglect for a small fee but never heard back from the customer until this report.
