I took a loan with citifinancial using my home as collateral. Because I lost my job was unable to make outrageous paymemts.

the interest rate was astronomical. Soon after sending all paperwork. Twelve times by fax they started foreclosure action. In July of 2014, the final threat that they were going to physically remove me and my family came. I moved out of my home, my family got separated, my things had to be put in storage and we were homeless. their "property preservation " people went into my home and caused damage.  my son and I remained homeless for over a year.

in August of 2015 citi financial sent me a letter that my debt had been forgiven and I would be allowed to,return to My home.

upon inspection I discovered locks haD been changed and I was unable to get combo from property preservation.

After breaking locks the home was unlivable as pipes had been allowed to,freeze and burst and water heater had burned out because it was not drained. Also appliances had been stolen.

I would like to see them reimburse me for a years storage fee, damages to my home , moving fees.

my feeling is they are bullies who take advantage of single mothers.

First off, being an unwed mother had nothing to do with this so don't try to play that card here. However, if they were to "preserve" the property it doesn't look like THEY were doing their job. There are a lot of unanswered questions here and some of what you said sounds like an excellent legal case provided you correctly explained everything which happened. By that, I mean, the process they went thru and whether or not you were ever actually foreclosed upon. I do think you need to run this by an attorney to actually sort out the details, what is curious here is their turning the property back over to you in an unlivable condition when it was their job to keep it livable. You should contact legal aid if money is a problem. Don't simply give up on this as it is your property and if ownership never changed hands as in a foreclosure, then they had the legal responsibility to properly care for and protect the property.
