I applied for a refinance of my mortgage since it was small, I was looking to extend it to do repairs and updates on my house.   I uploaded documents 28 to be exact and they kept asking for the same documents.  They kept coming back with reasons for not having a status.  60 days passed (potentially losing my lock in day) and they were still asking for documents arlready sent them more than once.   The incompetence was inconcievable.  When we identified a potential change that needed to be made, the 60 days had been passed (even though I had provided all documents in a reasonable time - basically the same day requested except documents required from an outside accountant).  They wanted me to pay another fee without a guarantee of receiving the loan.

They wanted me to replace a loan that was at no interest to add to the mortgage where I would have to pay interest.  The loan was tied to my business and required no direct payments from me.  The truth is they didn't feel my mortgage was large enough so they wanted a way of making more money.  I believe it they felt I was not a large enough income source since the mortgage was small for the most part.

 I would not and never will do business with them again.   In a few months when I have time, I will start the rewrite process again for my loan with another viable company.  Anything to get away from their incompetent and less than professional, non responsive staff.
