Santa Rosa,#2Consumer Suggestion

If it was a brand new unit in a sealed box then it would be the mistake of the manufacturer as opposed to the store you bought it from. Too many people do not realize that the stores are usually at the mercy of the Manufacturers in situations like this. The manufacturer will always tell you to go back to the store you bought it from in the hopes they have another one they can swap it out for. As far as the 15% restocking fee, this cannot be charged on a defective product. If you push enough they will either wave it or discount the new unit to make up for it. At this point in time, having already bought the new computer, there is really not much you can do about it though, except to make them aware of the situation (they really may not care though). In the future, just remember not to take no for an answer. If the product you were sold does not do what they say it will, there are leagal ramifications if the do not want to work with you to resolve the problem.
