I went into this service with my eyes WIDE OPEN. When I signed up for this service, I read the fine print. Your card will ONLY be billed if you CANCEL the service before the first 30 days - a charge will appear monthly after that cut-off date. After reading carefully before signing up for this "Free Credit Report", I used my debit card (XXXXXXXXXXXXX Bank, in Detroit, Michigan) to have the monthly fee taken automatically out of my checking account.

The report was accurate, and I was able to find some useful information on raising my credit score before I purchased my first house last month. I agreed to pay the monthly re-curring service fee of $7.95 and a one-time fee of (about) $30.00 (for my credit report) to keep an eye on my credit report. Included in this fee was the promise of updates on credit inqueries, and changes to my credit report.

THIS COMPANY DOES NOT UPDATE YOUR CREDIT REPORT AS PROMISED. During the last 3 months several banks/mortgage companies pulled my credit report, and NONE of these showed up on my "recent credit inqueries" page. In fact, the only way to get an updated view of my credit report was to PAY an additional fee (the aforementioned $30.00 credit report fee). The $7.95/month fee was providing NO service for me as promised.

I cancelled the account recently (Proir to June 10th) after a LENGTHY wait on the phone and several minutes of "Identity Theft" commercials, and after the 'salesperson' warned me repeatidly about the dangers of "Identity Theft", she confirmed that my account was now closed and that my checking account would no longer be debitted.

Today (June 14th), I logged onto my online Bank Account to find ANOTHER $7.95 charge for June 12th labeled as "DEBIT CARD HOLD CIC*CREDIT REPORT ".

Obviously, I am genuinely upset, and will do what I can to recover that $7.95 on June 12th from CIC, but more importantly to STOP *ANY* unauthorized parties from withdrawling ANY amount of money from my PERSONAL checking account.
