I attempted to get a "free" credit report around 4 months ago, only to find out that it actually costs 39.95 for all 3 services, and five dollars to get any info from just one. So I paid the 5 dollars, got my report and saw at the bottom of the page that what I had indeed purchased was a 7 day trial of this web page, whereafter I would be charged for my account.
I did not find anywhere on the website a place to cancel my membership, and could not find out how to contact them(there is no phone # on the site). So my only option was to send an email to customer service and hope for the best. After waiting a couple of days and not getting an email back, I went back to the site and sent another one in.
I had thought that this would be enough, but the next month I got my Credit Card statement and saw a charge for $79.95 from this company. The only way that I got the phone number is from my credit card company.
Do not do business with this company. They will mislead you into thinking that you are getting a free report, and not give you an option to cancel this membership that you do not want.
