Credit Monitoring Service - CIC Credit Monitor Service ripoff 79.95 unauthorized FRAUDULENT charge Orange County Florida
I went online to order a free credit report and got the shaft. This company charged my credit card $79.95 without my permission.
I entered my credit card number to pay for the $5.00 cost for the CREDIT SCORE being offered. At NO TIME did I read anything about a $79.95 monitoring fee (and I did read the terms and conditions).
I had this company on the phone for 1 hour, along with my BANK in an effort to get my money back. We were told that I would be refunded $63.23 due to prorating within 7-10 days. We were told we could not receive a copy of their policy listing this "prorate" clause and that we could file a claim if we wanted.
The representative from my bank is doing just that. She was horrified at this company's fake business practices and will be moving forward with a fraudulent claim. I will keep you posted on the outcome.
