Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I am telling in detail exactly what happened so I can NOT be sued for any kind of libel. Chris ran an ad on Craigslist stating that he and his wife needed to stay at temporary place until they got their paycheck. I talked to him on the phone he seemed very nice. He said that his wife got a job in Citadel (I thought it was a store didn't know if was a shopping center) and he was an Uber driver. I said I had a rental that was a fixer upper that they could live for a short term and pay me when they got paid, he emphasized that she would get paid soon and they could pay SOMETHING.  I told him I might let them work off part of the rent, by painting but had not decided on that so if they could pay that would be good. One smart thing is got their i.d. if it wasn't fake.  They seemed a nice respectable couple not alcoholics and drug users as a friend was afraid that they would be. She was I believed Romanian (though her mother lived in Paris) and supposedly was assistant manager at the store and he got a car through the Uber program although he said they kept docking his paycheck so he worked for Postmates (I was surprised how expensive the car was and he said he could only afford the car through the Uber program and it was $170 a WEEK, for a Hyundai,) which is why they were living in the car.

He gave me a ride once, though I paid for the gas. A few days later he came to me to borrow money for food, gas, and I said that it was one thing to let them stay before paying but another to lend money, I would need to check wife's employment, stupidly I didn't before I let them move in and texted HER. She was adamant against that claiming since they didn't have a "contact: maybe she meant contract with me, she didn't have to tell me where she worked. I had a talk later with her husband and said since they hadn't paid anything I had MORE of a reason to check on her job.She also texted that I had said could work it off by painting (she was not privy to the discussion her husband and I had) and I told her no, because he had said that he had some illness which the paint smell might harmfully affect him (I AM a considerate person.)  He told me that she just started and was nervous about having people inquiring about her at work. He was very soft spoken and nice, said he didn't understand it himself why she was like that and REASSURED me that they were NOT scammers. (I told him that they could move out now and owe me nothing) he begged to stay saying she was afraid of living in the car (although she had the money to go to Paris and see her mother, she had just come back.)

I let them stay and even lent them a few dollars for food and so did their roommate, who didn't have much himself.  A few days later they wanted to  bring her cat in and I said we need to talk about what they owe. At this time, Chris told me that they needed to send money to her mom and I asked why didn't they bring this up before, I was not happy.  I emailed him that since they were only staying a short time, I would charge a cheap rent for two people staying in a private room of $30 a night, this is what a hostel charges for a person in a dorm room. The next few days I called, texted, emailed them asking them what their plans were, and they didn't respond.

That weekend when she was to be paid, she texted that she wouldn't be paid until a few days later, nothing she could do.  Since they had not responded to me earlier, I was quite upset. I told them not to come back that night, I was angry, they had a car to stay in and to come back the next day to work out to pay what they owed me.  They left the light on in the room, the roommate said but didn't come back, respecting their privacy, came in two days later.  Some items were missing and found out Chris used my credit card to pay his phone bill, I let him see it to set up an Uber App for my phone.  If they were honest, even if they couldn't afford to pay the rent, they should have paid back money for food (and it galls me that they took money from the roommate as poor as they were) and if he didn't mean to cheat me on the phone and was desperate and that's why he fraudulently used the card, he should have sent me the money to pay for it.

Went to every single store at the Citadel, no store knew of her.  Stupid, trusting me (and I guess, didn't learn from my experience is got scammed again.)  I do have i.d.s, took their picture but didn't save it on hard drive but if there i.d. is not false, this is it.  Chris might be still doing this and using Craigslist to continually scam others. I told him that at one time I saw an ad, he claimed that he was ill and no one in his church would help him and asked if he did this (asking for help) all the time and he said no, sure, I think now.

Will be contacting the INS since she is just a legal alien and not a citizen.  Also interesting, unless it's a phony i.d Chris who is a contractor for Uber and drives for Postmates and is an extra for Audience Unlimited does NOT have a drivers license but a CA i.d.!  Guess they don't ask for prove that you have a license to drive, just say you have one.

There is a report filed with the Torrance, CA police and it's number is w #785928.  Hopefully no one will hire or rent to them so they resort to something like petty theivery so they can be arrested and jailed where they belong. Scamming someone unfortunately is NOT a crime unless you're a hotel, then they can arrest you for defrauding an innkeeper, conning someone is always civil and a lot of luck collecting the judgement.

His CA license is (((REDACTED)))  Exp 3/15/2018 DOB 3/15/(((REDACTED)))

Her Alien card is valid from 4/07/15 to 3/08/16
