Cheaptickets lousy rip-off Internet Worldwide
Cheaptickets CheapTickets Lousy lying wartsnipes! Make unauthorized charges to your credit card, blame airlines, admit having unhappy customers everyday who say they will never use Nashville, TN Internet .....
We purchased airline tickets from Cheaptickets -- we started out on-line, but ended up finishing the transaction by phone. When our itinerary arrived, we noticed charges for fees that we were never told about. We called customer service and were told that it was impossible that the phone representative hadn't disclosed the fees to us -- she said it was part of their script. And furthermore, the fees were required by the airlines.
My husband and I had the phone rep on the speaker phone and wrote down everything she told us! She never mentioned fees, but CheapTickets DID charge the fees to our credit card. The customer service rep just kept repeating that it was impossible that we weren't told about the fees. AND she told me I had NO recourse. Too bad, so sad.
I checked with the airlines and found out they don't require this fee and they know nothing about any such fee.
We were also charges a "delivery" fee -- but nothing was delivered to us. Not even our tickets!
After our trip, I attempted the customer service number again and was told the same thing as the first time. I told this lady I would never use CheapTickets again and that I would let the world know about their rip-off tactics. The customer service rep then told me that she received many calls like this everyday!!! I asked her what that meant to her!!! (That maybe their method of doing business sucks?!) and she said they knew, but nothing was being done about it. She also told me I had no recourse.
Neither customer service rep would let me talk to any one with more authority, and they wouldn't give me an address to write to. They said they had the final authority (in ripping off the public, I guess!)
Now I'm waiting for this "Gold Bonus" refund I'm supposed to get -- it's 10% of the ticket price. If I don't get that, I'll let you all know!
