I had booked multi-route air-ticket via LGA airport as well as hotel at New Jersey. While booking the hotel, I was also provided an option to buy shuttle service between airport and the hotel. As I thought this was a convenient feature - I purchased the same. It was ofcourse shown as non-refundable and I was charged $34.00 for 2 adults each way between the hotel and airport (Total disputed amount = $68 + excess amount I had paid).

When I landed at the airport and approached the shuttle service they told me the shuttle service is only between Airport and New york and that the shuttle does not serve to my New Jersey hotel. After talking to shuttle service managers several times and finally I was told that the shuttle ticket is unusable and I should take my own transportation arrangements to my hotel in New Jersey. When asked for refund - they said I should contact CheapTickets for the same.

So I ended up paying $100 from LGA airport to hotel and $120 from hotel to airport.

When I returned from the trip - I contacted cheaptickets I was kept on hold for a long time and got disconnected later. After that whenever I called - no one picked up. They did not respond to my several emails.

So I contacted my discover credit card company. They investigated but finally reported that the charges were approved by me.

I am asking for the refund only for the reason - that I was issued a shuttle ticket that was not honoured by the service provider and I ended up not only spending more than double but also losing the original paid amount.

Since I found no response even after filing here in RipOffReports.com, I took the next step, filing a complaint in Better Business Bureau. In my both experiences (this one and prior one with Broadbandoffers.com), you are sure to get positive response if you file with Better Business Bureau than to file here in ripoffreports.com. In both my cases, the compliant was amicably resolved when filed through BBB. It seems ripoff reports.com is a place to know about companies before you do businesses but BBB is for get your issues resolved. Purely based on my experience that would be my recommendation. Regards.
