Chase ripoff increase interest rate from 6 percent to thirty percent Wilmington Delaware
I first took a promotional loan from 1st USA credit card company at less than six percent for the entire length of the loan. First USA was bought out by Bankcard who was bought out by Chase. I have been paying three to four hundred dollars a month above the interest charges. In November for some reason or other my payment was four to five days late, even though I mailed it almost two weeks before it was due. Either the Post Office screwed up or Chase held the payment in their mailroom or somewhere else. Today 28th of Dec I received my statemnt with the outrageous interest rates. Chase broke the contract agrement I had with First USA. They have tried on different occasions in the past to change my interest rates. Finally in Jan of 2006 I close my account and started trying to pay off my balance with Chase. I have only one word with anyone dealing with Chase close your account and run. Talking to someone on the phone at Chase is a waste of time.
