The Ripoff intention

By Carlos D.

I have a Sony 36 inch HD TV that had problems turning on once in a wile , I thought i had extended warranty so I called Best Buy they said my warranty had expired .

They recommended chaparral.I paid the diagnostics fee was told that it would cover pick up and delivery. The TV was picked up Friday 5/21 on 5/24 I called to see what the diagnostic was and they told me it was the "D BOARD" i asked for an invoice 9 days later after calling them several times they faxed me the invoice.

I called Best Buy I.H.S.D. and asked for price on part it Was $177.00 +S/H,chaparral said it was $267.00 I asked them why there was a price difference in the parts he asked me if I had the right part I explained to him that I did so after trying to discredit me he placed me on hold then came back and asked me what part i had asked for so I told him the D BOARD he said o that's why its not the D BOARD its the B BOARD" so I asked for a new invoice w/the correct part he was going to replace.

He got mad and started to scream and bang his phone on something hung up on me.

I spoke to BEST BUY several times and was told three different story's by three different supervisors.First they said they would mediate then , was told not to worry about it that they would handle the problem directly with them that i didn't need to contact them and when i didn't hear from them for 1 week i called BEST BUY the third time and was told that they had nothing to do with this problem.

So i call corporate BEST BUY and they say we are so sorry about this situation but there was nothing they could do about this. The worst part about this is that they still recommend these guys as a preferred tech.

Had to contact the BBB then 1month and 2weeks later I went to his shop to see the status of my TV and after i told him my name he said sarcastically

"o your the guy that reported me to the BBB don't worry I'm working on responding to them hahaha ".

I asked if my TV was repaired he said are you kidding me after you reported me to the BBB.I tried to schedule him to drop off my TV he didn't even honer that which i had already paid for had to pick up my TV still not working .

And he changed back his story saying it was in deed the"D BOARD" not the B Board.

After talking to a different tech he advised me to plug the TV and turn it on and see if the problem persisted ,so i did and came to find out my TVs picture was ruined I don't know what he did to it.The original problem was with the TV not turning on sometimes and the TV had a perfect picture.

I am still waiting on a response from the BBB as well.

This Place Stinks

I have a Samsung big screen that has the audio output not working, the rest of the tv is working fine. They have had the tv for three weeks and are still waiting for the "parts to be shipped" Of course they can't tell me what the parts are because I wouldn't understand. I told them that I have been in the electronics industry for over 35 years and am capable of shooting trouble to the component level and they said then why didn't you fix it. Well its under warranty that's why. Beware of these people and while your at it stay away from Circuity city warranty.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

By Lorena G.

I regret the day I let their technician take our Plasma from our home. They DO NOT return calls, are very RUDE when you call and ask for information, and always tell you that someone will call you back. One of their tech's was suppose look at our TV at our home but said he did not have the equipment and therefor had to take it into the shop. He spent less that 5 minutes in my home. It has been over 3 weeks and I've yet to hear what technical problems my tv is having. I have called numerous times to try and get my tv back, and no one can ever give me an answer. The woman that answers the phone is EXTREMELY rude! BE WARNED!!

Do not use this company

By Lynne B.

We have had our Philip TV serviced by this company twice. They picked up the TV 12/28/06 and when we have called to inquire about the TV, they say that they will call your back and no one ever does. I called them everyday last week and again - we will call your back. I have never been so rudely treated by anyone in my life. The person that I talked to 1/26/07 (would not give me his name) told me that I would "Not understand" the part that they ordered. When I told them to just deliver the TV, he told me to "pick up the TV yourself" and hung up on me for the second time that day. I still to not know the status of the TV or when or if I will ever see it again.

rude customer service and inexperienced techs

By dawn s.

Two young techs came to the house to repair my brand new Samsung big-screen TV. They arrived with a clip board, spent exactly 5 1/2 minutes looking at the TV and said "we have to take it to the shop to see what's wrong." I told them no. It is a new TV from Circuit City, costing over $3400. Additionally, Chaparral Electronic Services has an "unsatisfactory" record with the Houston Better Business Bureau for "repair issues". Why set up an appointment with this company who does "in-home" repairs, when clearly, they don't know how to repair the TV in your home. There's no way I was going to give my new TV to a company with this kind of track record with the BBB. I'll pass on this company.

Terrible

By Mary B.

We have a 32 inch Insignia LCD TV. It is still in warranty. When appointment was set up with this company we were told the service Tech would have "some" parts on his truck but did not know if he would "fix" the TV at our home or not. Possibly have to bring to shop. The tech arrived "late", told us he did not have "any" parts on his truck for this tv. This was 8-10-06. I called the company for a status and recieved a recording "the number is temporarily disconnected". Between the "rude, poor customer service and their phone disconnected I would not use this company again.

The Worst Service

By Paula A.

I will never use this company again! The employees are rude! I called after they had my TV for a week and asked if they knew about when my TV would be done and my answer was "When is the world going to end?" I was told a few days later my TV would be delivered between 1 and 3pm. It never arrived and I never got a phone call or an apology. I spoke to someone who said he was the manager and asked him if this is how they handle customer service his response was "Yes."

I would buy a new TV before I ever used this company again. Oh I am still waiting for my TV by the way! I am on business day 18. That is just a bad way to run a business. Is it possible to do negative stars? Day 19 I did get my TV back finally! Oh to no surprise the thing still does not work. We called today and the phone is not connected. Customers Beware!!!

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!
