Nope, never worked for them, I'm retired and don't even plan to work for them. None of my family works for them either. The accusation you made is common when an OP's argument is weak.

I AM a senior citizen, have 2 land lines and DSL service through them..no problems whatsoever. Pricing as promised and good support.

I am a consumer with no affiliation with any of the parties involved with this complaint, having said that let me say that I have some experience with telecom about 30 years. I have filed an FCC complaint against CenturyLink because of two violations, one was the blatant misrepresentation of pricing on their bundled services which included Direct TV ( see my complaint filed under Century Link duplicitous etc... filed yesterday. The other had to do with porting the number to comcast which Century Link denied 5 times B4 they finally relented and ported the number after I filed the FCC complaint. So anyone on here who wishes to defend this company have at it. I can prove each and every violation which to me is tantamount to fraud perpetrated against mostly unsuspecting seniors . Now who wants to debate this issue?? I am waiting .........

A large number of consumer cannot all be wrong about this company. The FACT THAT THEY LIED IS DOCUMENTED BY ME. I HAVE FILED AN FCC COMPLAINT. Everyone needs to get off their butts and complain otherwise this company will continue to gough you and others like you senior citizens seems to be the target audience. Easy picking for unscrupulous operators like Century Link. The person rebutting the complaint is more then likely an employeee or married to an employee or soon to be an employee, he is definitely not a customer. I too have filed a complaint with the FCC regarding the misrepresentation of bundled prices by this company. They should be careful the Prez just might end up in a bunk beside Bernie Ebbers.

2. First time I've been called "sleazy", that would be true if I really were an "ambulance chasing lawyer, which I also am NOT.
3. NOT a "thug" either.
4. Not a loser either, I had a very successful corportate life before retiring.
5. Tell your "attorneys" that by posting your "Ripoff Report", you are open to rebuttals, that's the way the site is set up.
6. Not known to be a "creep" either. (At least to MOST people)
While you're reporting me to your "attorneys", you could really hurt me and report me to Reader's Digest....I'd be drummed out of the book of the month club...ouch!
BTW, didn't your posting before this one say you weren't going to respond to any more rebuttals?

I am under no legal obligation to answer any of your stupid questions and for that matter you lack any legal status or legal authority to even ask them. You're right, you're under no "legal obligation" to answer anybody's questions on this site, but you DID publish here and others, like it or not, are free to respond. My "legal authority" to ask questions is granted by said posting by YOU.
Actually, the rebuttals here are sponsored by Century Link, who advised us they had a vendetta against retired, handicapped people...glad to help their cause.
When, again, was the date Century Link took over and started your harrassment? I know you're not "legally obligated" to answer, but I DO have the "legal authority" to ask it.

Yes according to you this company is so horrible that on the exact day they took over they had nothing better to do than to single you out because you are a Senior Citizen with severe medical issues.

- Wow you sure told us. I guess the fact that they would have "accepted" any report doesn't really mean anything to you. The fact is you haven't triggered some massive investigation by your single report. Now, if there are more reports similar to yours they MAY investigate it. For now the most you could probably expect is for them to forward your complaint to CentryLink.

Your accusation is a common ploy when posters don't agree with rebuttals.
What day did Century Link officially take over from Qwest and your calls started?
How were you threatened by the employees?
You also said they stopped your paid for telephone and internet service for complaining.
I DO have Century Link (formerly Qwest) phone and DSL service. I have had almost no troubles and I haven't received a flurry of "do not call" types of calls since Century Link took over....I think they singled you out, knowing you are a disabled senior citizen, it's a conspiracy, Ralph.
I'm a retired senior too, but I guess they missed that and left me alone, or maybe it's because I'm NOT paranoid (yet).
BTW, the FCC and FTC almost NEVER investigate individual complaints, they wait for numerous complaints and look for a pattern...bad news, eh?
Sorry for your trouble, but my guess is, you're at least partially responsible for your trouble.
Good luck resolving your problems. I gotta sign off now and see if my check from Century Link for posting this is in the mail.

So, frankly it looks like the person that made the rather nasty comment about my complaints against CenturyLink is either an Employee of CenturyLink or is the one with the serious mental issues. If they had read my complaint they would have seen that the Violations of the Federal Do Not Call Registery started the very same day that CenturyLink took over from Qwest Communications and that Qwest honored the Do Not Call List but clearly CenturyLink doesnot as I never had these kinds of endless telemarketer and scam artist calls when Qwest was my telephone and internet provider and they would have seen the FTC and FCC have accepted my complaints and are actively investigating the matter right now. Sorry you blew it.

This all started "the VERY DAY Century Link took over". How is it that Century Link is violating the Do Not Call List and selling your information? You know this how? Anyone on the internet has this happen to them all the time by entering personal information.
