I am sending this email because I would love to expose this bogus company. It sickens me to know how far and how people try to find the most deceptive ways to rob people. I think I was almost the victim of the most clever credit card scam I have ever seen.

I recieved a letter in the mail, saying that I was approved for a $6500 credit limit on a credit card. I was in shock at first because I know that my credit rating would never allow me to have a balance this high. Something told me to check things out, so I called the 800 number that was on my (approval) letter so that I could "activate my card." Miraculously, by me calling, I was told that I am now approved for more money, which went from $6500 to $8100. After going through all the prompts to activate the card, I was put on hold so that I could speak to a "live" person.

Once the person got on the phone, he congratulated me on being approved for my new card. He sounded professional, like he was reading a script of the conditions of using the card. I told him to talk to me directly and let me know what was the catch to the card, and how the usage of the card works. He told me to let him explain everything to me then I could ask questions. So I let him finish reading then I proceeded to ask him questions about what is the catch and how I felt that the deal he was offering was too good to be true. He stated that their company is designed to help those with bad credit re-establish it. He told me that the card I got was an approval card and that 2 more cards would be mailed to me within the next 48-72 hours, once I gave them my bank information. He said that they needed to deduct the activation fee of $199 out of my banking account on January 19, and my yearly fees of $99 once a year.

I'm thinking why couldnt they just take it off the card since I had so much money on it. I told them if I was approved for the money already, what does my bank information have to do with anything. He stated that they just need to verify that I have an active checking account with good standings. I then told him that I was hesitant about giving my personal information out over the phone; he asked me to hold on while he gets his supervisor that could explain everything to me in more detail. After being on hold for about a minute, another guy came on the phone, and stated that he was the supervisor. I told him that I did not need to speak to him because I was not interested anymore. He asked, "So you mean to tell me that you are gonna pass up this offer for all this money, this is $8100 you are passing up." I stated, " this sounds too good to be true, $8100 is a lot of money, and it would come in handy, but my identity is priceless." He continued on about how good the deal was, how I would be able to purchase items and also get cash back on the card, and this is my way of fixing my credit because they report to three credit reporting agencis.

I asked him was I able to shop where ever I wanted with the card, he stated, that I was only able to use it through their catalog, but if I needed cash, I could request it and it would be deducted from my card and sent to my checking account through Allstate check cashing agency. I asked why couldnt I just use the card to withdraw cash if I needed it, they stated that it was their only way of verifying who I am and that I must have an active checking account to use their services. I then told him that there was no way I was giving them my personal information.

I asked them how was I to know if this was a scam, they stated that the card is real, their company is real and that they are not "scamming" me. I ask them what was their website address so that I can check them out online to make sure that they were a reputable company. He stated their company works by mail only and that they do not have a website. So I said "Hell no I am not doing business with any company that is willing to give me that kind of money on credit but cannot invest in a website!!" The man seemed irritated but once he stated they didnt have a website, I pretty much knew this was a scam. I want this company (or so called company) exposed. God only knows how many people have fell for this. The card they sent me looks so fake when I turned it over on the back. Im glad I used my better judgment on this one, but I know many people dont. I have the letter they sent me, and the card they sent me as well. I would like them exposed for what they are. If they are a real company, I apologize, but I am almost positive I am right on this one.

I cannot believe these people have gotten away with this for this long, because I am positive that I am not their first victim (well almost victim). But I feel for people who are elderly, young, or those who have bad credit and thinks this is actually a way to repair their credit.

Word of advice: If they cannot tell you their physical address, a phone number (not 800), or especially, if they do not have a website.....DONT FALL FOR IT!!! Luckily for me I am one of those people who asks a million questions before I believe anything, and that really intimidated the two men I spoke with.

If it's sounds too good to be true, IT IS.
