You had a nice tips and links to prevent internet crime.

We had a company that asked to wire $20,000 without any evidences of the product or reference, and turned out that their warehouse address is actually an apartment address (even though he said it was the company's warehouse address). They do business only over internet and story sounded like close to true, but we backed off, and we think that we made a good

decision. When we called to cancel the our order, he recorded and thread to send it to Bar Association (my husband is an attorney, and he may have argued with him with some bad words after he got nasty...) Thanks again all of the links and tips in your page.

CONSUMER'S DESCRIPTION OF COMPLAINT

I have discovered that this company has 5 websites. I was approched to buy merchandise from them. I sent two wire transfers. One in the amount of $3,400.00 and one in the amount of $1,300.00 After I sent both wire transfers, Ethan Platt aka Ethan Platteborze contact me and stated that the money has been received. I was informed that shipping would take place on 5/16/00 and it would take three days to arrive.

As of today 5/25/00, I have not received any merchandise. I called on 5/19, 5/22, 5/23, 5/24, and 5/25. I left messages, end email, tried to contact this company thru instant message via the internet. I even sent faxes. As of 5/25 I have not been contact by phone, fax or email regarding the delivery of my merchandise.

I have contacted the Attorney General and the Oregon Department of Justice to file a complaint.

If you have other people interested or have filed a complaint agaist this company, have them contact me.

The Deadbeat's Whos Who

This individual/business scammed me. He is using several aliases and at least 2 business names that I know of, and 3 different mailing addresses, of which 2 are bogus. Addresses on 2 of his websites are bogus. Better Business Bureau opened a file on this company in October 1999. When told that he owed me $55 from a service performed in December 1999, he has responded by being nasty, phone calls, recording phone calls, having other people call, leaving slanderous remarks in my online Guestbook, email bombing, bogus info entered in the Search Engines about my business. I was threatened over the phone as well. All because he owes me money.

Jay has ordered a full refund for you because the warehouse could not get your merchandise shipped fast enough. There will not be a restocking fee. This was not a Cavalier Salvage thing, it's the warehouse that dropped the ball. I'm sorry but it's company policy that we only send wires for refunds, that way we have paperwork that fed. protects us from the recv. saying they never recvd. the funds.

As soon as we get that Account name, Account Number, and ABA we can get moving on this.

The above picture IS of an Ethan Platt... ME. Not the Ethan Platt you are complaining about. If you look... you will see that other links in CT & RI are only for the gaming industry, gaming conventions, and role-playing events... Why was my information, specifically my site address WHOIS information listed here? My classichits.com site address is not affiliated with Ethan Platt. I was ripped off too and was the one that did much of the research against him. I do not know why Cheri listed my information here, as she and I have corresponded on many occasions over this. Classichits.com is not affiliated with that con artist. You have no idea of how much crap I have taken over this since 1999, so thank you very much for starting this over again.
