Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I bought a car from them on 2/6/2016. Their website said they were BBB accredited. $1500 cash down payment. Was told that it was still under manufacturer warranty. I asked for a checklist of problems with the car. Never got it. The salws man said they do a 42 point check on all cars before selling them. The check engine light came on 3 days later and it started overheating. had Auto zone read the codes. It said "random misfiring". Every time I called, I got voicemail or they were too busy to talk to me. I called the salesman who said "put water in the radiator". I told them to fix it. They had my car in their shop for 3 days and was told that they changed the bad Spark plugs. Nothing else. The check engine light came on again.

This time the car stopped running the same same I got it from the car lot after they so called fixed it. I called and left messages. Had the car towed home where it sat until my my mechanic fixed it. Every time I called, I got voicemail or they were too busy to talk to me. I told the owner or the car lot and asked him why didn't the mechanic check the car thoroughly for any other problems and demanded to see their checklist of problems with the car. The owner of the car lot said they did a 60 point check on the car before selling it. He said the mechanic had a checklist, the mechanic said the owner had it, and so forth. Finally the owner said that he didn't have to show me anything and refused to give me my money back.

Every time I called, I got voicemail or they were too busy to talk to me. This time I paid for replacements of both of the thermostats in the car and had the work done by my mechanic. A couple days later, the check engine light came on AGAIN. I had the car diagnosed by a very reputable dealership. The car needs an Upper radiator hose $353.92 and a passenger side upper engine mount bracket $132 for the part alone. From there, they can see what other problems are we dealing with. I told the owner of the car lot and he told me ,"the dealership will tell you anything to get your money ". The owner refuses to reimburse me for the repairs because I didn't use his mechanic and says that everyone else is going to over charge him. The owner then said they did an 80 point check on the car before he sold it to me.

I said prove it, show me your list. Still haven't seen a check list of any kind. The owner keeps stressing " as is " and "its your car now ". He had the audacity to tell me that I should " act like the rest of his customers ". WTF is that supposed to mean??? I've only driven the car for a total of 7 days and do not drive cars with the check engine light on. I was told that as long as a car passes emissions test in Georgia then it can be sold. Thus is ludicrous! If anyone buys a car from cartersville Auto Lending, the car will be misrepresented and you will need to have at least $1000 to have repairs done unless you trust their mechanic. I am now stuck with a loan for a car that I have not driven and cannot afford to fix.

We have had the same exact thing my daughter bought her ford edge in Feb 2016 as well , a couple weeks after we bought we brought it back said there was something wrong they had it for two days and still can't tell us what they fixed on it. We called repeatedly after that and they told us they would not pay for repairs even thought they told us we had 30 days to bring it back if anything was wrong. We have been going back and forth because like u it takes threats to get anyone to respond , they blocked me from Facebook so I can't comment or post reviews. The car has been sitting in the garage for over a month and needs a 3000 engine. After threatening them with lawyers Amy emailed acting like they were going to get the estimates and then try to come to a resolution , then all emails stopped once they received them until yesterday and she said they same thing they refused to pay for any repairs but will discount it if we use their garage. They will not give us the inspection report either because they didn't inspect it the cat was not even in the system we had to wait for them to put it in. However you can file a revocation of acceptance of the vehicle according to the attorney we have been speaking with.

update : still broke amd pissed

I was actually speaking with the general manager that told me he was the owner. The owner payed the for the issues mentioned. Since the original post, I've had to replace both O2 sensors, both thermostats , and more recently found out that I need to replace the throttle body. Another$752 in parts and labor that I don't have. All within 90 days of first buying this piece of crap. I am riding buses and trains to work as well as carpooling while paying for a car that I cannot afford to fix or drive. When I told the dealership about this issue I was told that being that I've had the car for over 30 days,

they are not obligated to do anything and it's my problem. I honestly don't know how they are still in business and why finance companies are financing their vehicles. My options are to try to sell this car (which none will want) or do a voluntary surrender which would go on my credit history and I would still owe the finance company whatever they don't recover from auctioning off the car. I've learned the hard way that buying a used car is pretty much buying another person's problem.
