Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Purchased a low mileage used van from the Mt Holly location.  We took it home and realized there was a leak in one of the tires.  We called the service department and they said they would absolutely take care of it since we just took the van home.  When everything was done, we had to pay to have the tire plugged even though we were under the impression that this was going to be taken care of free of charge.  There was a nail in the tire and we were told because of the inspection process, the nail would not have been in the tire when we left.  This is possible, but we also were about to leave with the van missing a Bluetooth headset that was supposed to be included (I had to inspect the van myself to uncover this) and we were told the car had heated leather seats, which it did not.

We had thought that the company would take care of us since we were new customers, but weren't that disappointed until we realized the tire was still leaking even after paying $33 to plug it.  When I spoke to the service department again I was told I could have just picked up another nail and they couldn’t promise I wouldn’t have to pay to fix it again.  We bought the van to drive our children around and we had an unsafe vehicle with an infant and toddler in it because they couldn’t fix the tire correctly the day after we purchased it.

We were also pulled over and given a ticket for not having an inspection sticker in the car, which was a part of the process that was not discussed when we got the vehicle.  The police officer told us we shouldn’t have been able to leave the lot without the sticker.  When I spoke to a manager, he said the officer was wrong and I was told to get the car inspected.  When I told the manager this was not the case and getting the car inspected was never discussed, he said, “Well it’s in your paperwork.”

We got our inspection sticker then instead of trekking all the way back out to CarSense again, we took the car to Pep Boys since it was close and a safer drive considering the tire's condition.  The Pep Boys mechanic said we needed a new tire.  The plug didn’t fix the issue because the hole was probably too big.  They also said the car was in need of an alignment even though we just purchased the van.

I found out a bit late that this is not uncommon for this company as I've spoken to other people that have dealt with cars from them.  They only repair very noticeable damage and change the fluids before sending you off in the car even though they claim to do pretty intense inspections.  Considering all they missed, I'm sensing that is not the case.  I tried sending an email to their customer service and didn't hear back.  They also deleted my post from their Facebook page.
