They're baaaaack. This time I get a call from 1-100-000-000 (no such number) and a recorded voice offers me a FREE cruise to Cancun,Mexico. Well, I didn't press 1 as suggested but I have a couple of comments. These bozos (and by now we know who they are) are offering a Canadian a free (excuse me for choking) cruise with incidentals paid in U.S. funds. At the moment the Canadian dollar is 95 cents U.S. Then,I have my airfare to Orlando. (return trip approx. 700 dollars Canadian) This is a deal? It's the same tired old scam which by now every Canadian with half a brain knows from whence it comes. This kind of crap is hurting Florida's already dubious distinction of being the worst state in the U.S. for encouraging this kind of behaviour toward Canadians. In fact most Canadians prefer to vacation in Cuba where they don't follow you on the beach trying to sell you pathetic time shares in dubious condos. If you see the above number on your call minder, pick up the phone, cut the connection, hang up and report the incident to the CRTC. That's Canada's watchdog for the Do Not Call List. Make sure your name is on that list, and don't bother contacting the FCC,the American version. All they want to know is...how much did they take you for. With Americans, it's all about money.

In the rebuttal to my original posting, two people from Canada say that they took the cruise and had a wonderful time. This leads me to believe that 1: they are not well educated (for Canadians) or they were put up to it by the sleazy company who runs this scam. Either way, I'm glad they saved all that American money it cost them to take the trip, and they go back next year and get sucked in again. 2. Had they investigated this company further and had contacted Ramada Canada, they would have discovered that Ramada Canada distances itself from this Florida outfit, and most Ramada Inns in the U.S. will have nothing to do with them, except to book you a room. This crap has been going on for years and the folks who wrote the rebuttal may not realize it, but this gang of crooks uses every barely legal scheme in the book to make sure you and your money depart. And, I'm disappointed that you wrote the rebuttal, because many Canadians (26 per cent fewer) have been going to Cuba and Mexico and the Dominican Republic for vacations. It also gives Floridians the fodder for their views about Canadians. They think we all just fell off a turnip truck.

Unbelievable, Just what are people expecting. I bought one from Imperial Majesty and one from Ramada Resorts and one from Caribbean Cruises they are the same people and are at the same address and maybe they sound like telemarketers but i'll tell you the trip was great. I bought the 1st package then read these bad reports started to worry then read reports on different forums that deal with cruises, take a look they're there. I called to price out what it would cost to take my 18 & 20 yr boys and they found me a package that was cheaper than ours and included meals and was the same as ours. After all reservations were in place my mother and her friend wanted to go so i called back and they found another package that included meals and such and was $100 cheaper serval calls were made to ensure we were all together at the same places. They have different packages i could have traded mine for a 4 night stay in fl and did a 5 night cruise to Mexico on a Carnival ship at a different price but it is available. We drove from Canada so no car rental was needed. We stayed 3 nights at the Inverarry resorts which we had NO complaints about it and we stayed at the Ramada maingate in Orlando which i thought looked just like the pictures. We paid taxes on the rooms and meals at the motels, on board we paid $20 x six people for gratuity and taxes and $18 x six people for fuel surcharge (3 packages so 3 cabins) eat all day till 3am the best was the Crystal dinner lounge which was formal or smart casual dressed and the food was perfect. The rooms were very, very clean as were the showers which worked fine, the ship was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly, entertainment was very good, this is not the oasis of the sea cruise ship but it was fine, it was easy getting onboard and easy getting off, we waited in the view lounge which was very comfortable while they exited the ship by floor numbers which was better than stampeding off the ship.I bought a time share on the beach 5 min from the cruise ships and can't wait till next year to go back. Our last holiday was 25 yrs ago, so by all means take the trip. I priced it out indivdually and doing it thru the Ramada deal was less than half the price. If you're going with the thought of hateing the trip because of these reports than you'll have a horrible time, i told my wife we'll make the best of it and everyone that went can't figure out why there are so many bad reports. WE HAD A GREAT TIME. Go enjoy, you- like us probably deserve it. With this package i got extra places to stay at so i'll keep extending the packages so when we drive to Fl each year i'll book the 2 nites stays in VA or SC or TN so we'll have free motels on the way down and we'll get to check out more time share units in case we want to trade our weeks in Fl for one of them which will also bring the initial package price down of the Ramada cruise deal.
