After trying to re-register car online, I was charged $3.99 for a service fee to this website. Apparently I was redirected to this websight after providig credit card info to what I thought was California DMV.Gov site. After two phone calls was was told that fee would be refunded but would take 7 - 10 days. We will see.
This company provides information on DMV services but does not explain or post cost of services that were readily visible.
I was told that $3.99 would be refunded in 7 - 10 days. I will report back one way or another. I should have gone to this websightfirst.

I went to that website and the FIRST thing which pops up is a full screen disclaimer which tells you they are a third party vendor! You didn't even bother to read that VERY OBVIOUS screen, did you???? So please tell us, using your infinite wisdom, why is this somebody else's fault when YOU failed to read what was as OBVIOUS as the rising sun?
