After consulting with a Carnival Cruise Line representative on the phone, I booked online with them directly.  I noticed the words "low-price guarantee" on the webpage while entering my credit card number.

People, that's up there only for that moment.  Carnival is totally messed up, they're not promulgating or practicing anything at all like a low-price guarantee.  They're decitful, liars, have professional claim deniers, it's all a sham.  Don't sail on this cruise line!!!!

The teethlessnes of their "low-price guarantee" is that they will only redress lower prices that they themselves offer.  No finding a lower price on Orbitz, Travelocity, or Vacations To Go (where it is I essentially found a half price offer in that one can purchase a singles discount, 0 % singles supplement fare on the sailing I booked--that's right, a whole cabin for the price of one person).

And if you do fid a lower price on your sailing that they offer later?  You have to file your claim, you don't get money back, only 110% of the difference in shipboard credit.  Which is to say, they have no interest in guaranteeing anything.  Their an evil corporation, setting up terms and conditions to obfuscate what is a simple truth when you have a low price guarantee--you will match any lower  price that is real.

What truly angers me about my experience is that I didn't just merely book online, seeing the words "low-price guarantee", and get taken in by that.  I spoke to a Carnival representative, to whom I clearly explained my whole situation.  Mentioning that a 0% single's supplement cabin was in fact avaialble, that should have been automatic.  They dot all their I's and cross all there T's, consumers shouldn't have to be attorneys in order to be treated fairly and squarely.  Stay away from them, they're evil....

What it means is that if AFTER you book but BEFORE you leave YOU find a cheaper package with the EXACT same features as the one YOU have purchased with THEM, THEY will price match the package that YOU have found. It DOES NOT mean that THEY are the ones who have to do the research OR leg work in order for YOU to get the cheaper price. Were YOU perhaps expecting that THEY are going to know ALL of the CURRENT deals available from EVERY cruise line?? If so, then THAT is on YOU for YOUR EXPECTATIONS and has NOTHING to do with THEM!!!!! If YOU want a cheaper price, YOU have to find the deal and present it to THEM!! How are THEY to know what YOU have seen?? What it REALLY sounds like is that A. YOU really don't want to go on this cruise. and B. YOU expect others to do YOUR job for YOU. LIFE doesn't work that way buddy!!!! But YOU KNOW THIS!!! Which is WHY you posted. YOU have NOT been ripped off. YOU are of the misinformed idea that by making a online post that somehow MAGICALLY their prices are going to drop for YOU. If YOU cant do the work needed then its on YOU. YOU cannot expect THEM to do YOUR legwork or research. All YOU have done is not only show YOUR ignorance of how a price guarantee works but YOUR general ignorance on HOW to apply said price discount. What YOU have NOT shown is HOW or WHERE YOU got ripped off.
