Carlton Sheets - REI ripoff! Chicago Illinois
I had the same incident as the rip-off report named 'Cindy' from Brentwood, California. I ordered the course and did not go through the material at all and the month was up. So, I called the company to obtain the return number when the operator told me that I can keep the material for one more month at no cost. Then, REI started to send me more folders kind of material and started to charge my account.
Immediately, I cancelled the other affiliated company's material. However, I had to contact each one of them seperately. Then, before the second month was up, I returned the material unopened via usps. Still, I did not recieve the proper credit on my charge account. So, I called REI, and I was told that I did not get proper return label. So, I faxed them a letter indicating my wish to receive a proper return label. It has been over 10 months and no credit was issued. So I called them again, and I was told that they have no record of my returning the material. I intend to follow this up until I receive the proper credit.
