CarHop ripp me off my hard working money, giving me five cars that broke that below zero, disrescpectful treatment. Lies, scams, and no consideration, getting me caught in their scam lying time after time promising me a new car! CarHop Minnesota
I was one of hundreds scam by CarHop, yet many don't know about their true intentions, which is to lure you into a contract promising a reliable car based on your credit, yet it's good credit, no credit, bad credit, my credit was good and I did not know to much about them but that they help when in need of a car.
Many people were going to them and they had nice cars. But little to people know those cars are rig up until you get the car home, then they break down. I gave these people $280-$320 dollars a month which I could have been at a poplular dealership, but I am a hard working man with a family who wants the best for them. Who could have thought this company was out to take all your money. They gave me and my wife 4 cars with in the time we had the contract which took about 24 months.
I paid all payments, until these cars broke down below zero with my family, they disrespected me, and only wanted to knwo where their money was, despite me and my family on the side of the highway! We were $1500 away from being done, and yet they tricked us again by showing us a new car we never received, giving us a broke down dodge with the wrong engine and duck tape in the engine.
Estimated to $3,000 to fix, they cover nothing, yet wanted their money. I had to take cabs back and forth to work, they call my house all day and I'm not even riding in the car, all their recordings should consist of our back and forth controversy over this. Everyone beware of Carhop! A company making over millions of dollars off innocent people trying to recieve a chance with a reliable car for work, school, whatever it may be.
This need to be brought to the attention of the media, and those who were scam like me should be rewarded back for all the money, or given brand new cars, we have invested without being deliver the promises sought out. They are very disrespectful when it comes to their cars messin up, but when you are paying for the ragedy cars it's o.k.
They all work together, discuss you with others, and one of the managers made sexual harrassments comments to my wife everytime she had to make payments.Still no working car. Told them to come and get the car, I could'nt take it no more, plus it would'nt start, yet they wanted money! Tried to get another car, and the d**n company would'nt give the car place notice that they picked the car up, becuase they did'nt want to see anyone that left them receive help with another car.
Isn't that something, that picked up the car when we told them to, yet they would not write out a statement for my personal usage that the car is out of my possession. Carhop need to be stop from destroying people credit, and risking life. I have reports from the cars they gave us, showing the conditions of the cars, and how we could have been injured in an accident.
They want you to take it to their mechanics so they don't tell you, but I got smart, pay my own diagnosis fee, and get a honest opinion from a real mechanic not linked to them. I wish I never went there, and I hate eveytime their commerical come on, because it reminds me of the pain they caused my family! President OBAMA I hope you see this and investigate this company!

While I do sympathize with your experience, I must state that I have bought two vehicles from Car Hop and, although not without incident concerning the condition of the cars in question, overall I am satisfied with the experience.
I bought two vehicles from the Blaine Car Hop. A 1998 GMC Jimmy and a 1998 Olds Intrigue. I was in a dire financial position at the time and Car Hop was the only company who would, not could, help me. Yes, I did have gas tank issues with both vehicles. I also had issues with certain parts of the suspension on the Jimmy. Car Hop and UAC authorized all the repairs in question because they were safety issues.
In addressing the part about using their 'own mechanics', I took both vehicles to their authorized mechanic (who, by the way, runs his own shop and is in no way affiliated or beholding to Car Hop by contract). The mechanic was so good, knowledgeable and fair that I still go to him whenever my vehicles need servicing of ANY kind.
One must keep in mind that Car Hop deals with used vehicles with high mileage. They fill a much needed niche in the market; getting people who are in financial straits approved and into a car. They don't promise anything more than that. There are many other car dealers who would be more than happy to take your money and NOT offer any kind of warranty.
One must also take responsibility for their own decisions when shopping for a car. It is up to the buyer to check under the hood, check mileage, check for leaks, rust or any other possible defects. After all, it is a used car. It is also incumbent on the buyer to ask questions of the seller. No one is holding a gun to your head, making you buy this car. Realize that you are there because no one else will help you and you have run out of options. Remember, beggars can't be choosers but you can still get a fairly decent car there if you use your head, know what to look for and what questions to ask.

seriously - do you think obama is going to fix these kinds of situations that you get yourself into!? do you seriously think that any car dealership is out to help you? how silly are you? they all want your money man! don't ever think obama is going to help you out of situations like this, and please don't tell me you think that obama is going to help you with all the rest of your bills or school tuitions. You are the best solution to You! Go out, get a extra job, pay these goobers off, get yourself a garage sale car for a few hundred bucks, save up a emergency fund, then start paying your debts off! dude, if you can tell me what was on tv last night, or who the bachelor kicked off you need to be out delivering pizzas! I guarantee you, you can make a extra 2-3K per year in HOPKINS doing night work! SORRY FOR THE SLAM, BUT DON'T EVER THINK OBAMA IS GOING TO HELP YOU!
