 My house hould goods finally arrived, but I had 15 boxes that were completetly SMASHED during the delivery, as well as a broken shelf, and a plastic "tough box" that was opened and rummaged through. (i had sealent tape on both sides of the box, and both were clearly broken, indicating it was open. several CD cases i had have been opened). Several dishes and cups where broken. My TV was not boxed up, and only had a blanket taped to it, and had something similair to oil on it parts of it. the TV functions just fine, but i was a little irked that it could have been damaged so easily and was not boxed properly. One box containing a computer and a computer screen was damaged as well. on inspection, i found the screen to have several deep scratches on the screen, and the computer has some smaller ones on it as well. A framed poster my family had given me was broken as well. 3 of the 4 sides of the frame were missing, and the 4th one was sticking half way out of the box. the covering on the front of it has a very large scratch going down it. I attached my copy of the checklist earlier showing the annotatons of the damaged property. the moving people were nice enough to annotate some damages they noticed themselves on the checklist. I also talked to the movers who dropped off the boxes and they agreed with me that it was 250 cubic feet and not 350 cubic feet. It also shows on my paper that i was charged for 400 cubic feet. (+150 cubic feet) instead of the non-existant 100 cubic feet i was told I had. so not am i only being charged for cubic feet i did not use, but i am being charged extra for it. I demand a full refund of my house hold goods from Cardinal Moving Systems. I did not pay close to $4000 to have my household goods arrive almost a month later than promised, to arrive damaged severly, retaped poorly, and one of my boxes clearly rummaged through. I have also filed a claim to the BBB and the FMCSA but Cardinal Moving Systems has yet to reply.
