Have been taking the grandkids down to Port A for the last 12 years. Take them on that sunset cruise, 7:30 to 9:00 pm. We get there at 6 pm and the guy says "he'll try and get us on" and there's a $5 fuel surcharge, making it $15, which I understand. 7:15 comes around and they give us our "safety lecture". Board at 7:25, all 30 of us. The boat probably holds 150 people at least. We sit around and wait until 7:45 when he finally fires it up and they begin to cast off. Right then a group of 9 folks walks up and wave cash at the capt. They tie up again, reattach the plank and let them on. Another $135, I can understand that too. Depart about 7:50-7:55. The real rip comes when he heads about a quarter of a mile outside the harbor and does donuts so we can "watch the dolphins". He then putts down one channel a mile or so comes, about and heads for the other channel. About 8:45 he enters into the harbor, putts around for 10 minutes and we tie up a 8:55. We got shafted for almost a half hour at least. I guess a sign of the times.
