Capital One Services ripoff Excessive credit card charges with no merit Richmond Virginia
Was charged a late fee of $29.00 plus interest of $ 1.63 for a $18.93 charge on the visa card. Reason is due to POOR Service from Capital One Services-Visa Card Company. Last Year 2003 twice they didn't send the monthly bill to my son at his college dorm. They Capital One said the college is having problems not delivering the mail, so I said send the bills to my home. They did remove the late charges back then.
Received the bills for the last 4-6 months, now again no bill was sent for the month of March 2004, which isn't a concern. My son only uses it for books at school. I called their POOR SERVICE DEPT> on April 5, 2004, the service person would not give me his name. He said you SHOULD CALL ON THE 1ST OF EACH MONTH about your Bill this way you won't receive any late charges. What is wrong with this picture.
It's there job to send the bill, not mine. Why do I have to call them each month to see if there is a bill due. They offer no help other than pay our charges, because they say so. I said NO-WAY. Be carefull of the credit card companies you deal with, only VISA from Capital oNe Services seems to pull this. Note: The college isn't the problem with the mail, it is Capital One Services. Do NOT USE THEM.
