I got an email today from Credit One Bank who carries my Credit One Bank credit card stating that I had an overdue balance of $48.47 which I had to pay in order to stop the overdue charges. The payment receipt number is #231247532. This overdue charge was the result of a company called IC*Freeshipping.com making unauthorized charges to my credit card Since November 11, 2016 in the amount of $12.97. This results in an amount of $103.76 plus $48.47 for a total of $151.13. I want to object to these charges and ask Credit One to put a hold on my credit card to stop these charges and to get a refund from IC*Freeshipping.com and mail me a draft in the amount of $151.13.

I also want to stop the paperless billing and get a monthly statement so I can see if anyone is making unauthorized charges to my account.

Credit One Bank refused to stop these charges and also refused to return my money.

That is one thing you are lacking...

One thing YOU are lacking is Common Sense.

First how is a Credit Card company going to know a charge is NOT authorized unless you tell them? There is not  a single credit card company that is going to call the card holder for each and every purchase. No credit card company keeps a "black list" of companies that have complaints. If they get a request for a charge if you are within your limit they approve it.

That is why you receive a statement EVERY month. It is YOUR responsibility to REVIEW and then REPORT, any FRADULENT Transactions. If you don't report them the Credit Card Company has no idea they are invalid.

That is why there are laws such as the Fair Credit Billing Act that specifically states YOU as a consumer have a right to dispute a charge. But it also puts the responsibility on you to report it quickly as you only have 60 days(2  billing cycles), to do so. After that it is assumed valid and it can not be disputed even if it is a fradulent transaction. Now, what this means is that you may be able to get some money back, buy disputing anything that has shown up in your last two statements.

Then you have no idea how this company got your information. But I can just about guarantee YOU gave it to them.  Most likely you signed up on some site, or agreed for something like a sample offer and (surprise surprise) FAILED to read the terms you agreed to which incuded a recurring monthly charge. Based on the first charge in November, you probably did this sometime in October/November of 2016. But you know what, even if they just put together a string of 16 random numbers and was able to get a charge approved..it is still YOUR responsibility to report it as fradulent.

Paperless Billing or being sent a statement has nothing to do with this, as this is a result of YOUR failure to review your account. So it doesn't matter if they send it in a Singing Telegram, if you ignore your responsibility.

Common sense tells me that I should trust a credit to keep my credit private.

Why not just let anyone that feels like charge anything they want to to my credit card that Credit One has told me I could trust them to use Paperless billing. Then they allow a company the charge to my account uunknowingly to my for 8 months and after I had paid my account in full. They continued to allow these charges to build up and then charged me $48.47 that they insisted I pay or they would turn over to credit company. Then a company representative told me on the phone they would get the money back from IC*Freeshipping.com. Why in the hell would I check my account that I had paid in full if this was a litigitament businesss that I could trust not to allow fraudlant companyies to charge to my account and then say that they can not stop them from charging. You sir are the worst excuse of a person I have ever delt with. Instead of saying that you recognize that Credit One has allowed themeseleves and in turn me to be scamed, you turn on me and call me names. This is entirely Credit One's fault for allowing someone to charge to my account that are known SCAMERS. And in return, I think Credit One Is a Scamer since they will not stop them from charging to my account. CHECK THEM OUT ON THIS WEB SITE BEFORE YOU START CALLING ME NAMES.

All These Months...Right?

What you're declaring to everyone is this is YOUR credit card account yet YOU fail to check YOUR account for ALL these months to see what is going on with YOUR account! Suddenly you find out about this and now you want the credit card company to bow down to you because of your blatant, incredible lack of COMMON SENSE to monitor YOUR OWN account! Under the law, you have the right to dispute unauthorized charges but also under the law, this right carries time restraints. Anybody with half a brain knows about the numerous cases of fraud perpetrated upon the public by unauthorized charges and as such, they check their statements whether it be on line or on paper so that they can dispute those charges within the legal time frame. Oh, but not you! I'll bet you also don't even bother to keep a check register or balance your checking account either, do you? NO VALID COMPLAINT HERE...just YOUR failure to use common sense and monitor your own accounts. Don't bother saying it, because I'll tell you ahead of time...I don't work for either entity!
