Let me say first off that what I am going to say is in no way promoting CCA. I may have just been one of the "lucky" consumers so far. Having not found this sight until I had already activated my card, it made me almost sick reading all the rip off reports about this company. I would just like to offer a little peace of mind to anyone who finds themselves in my position.

My husband received the CCA credit card in the mail. He is always entering himself in things on the internet, and joining mail order clubs etc. So when he got the grand idea to do this, I immediately sat down with the paperwork we received in the mail from CCA and went over every last word...twice, three times. I understand right off the bat that this card was only to be used for their catalog. I also understand that $199 would be required to activate the card, and that three benefits totalling about $150 would also be required if I did not cancel them withing 30 days. So we called and activated.

That's when I started reading the rip off reports, and totally tripping out.

Well the $199 was deducted right on the day that we had set up. I IMMEDIATELY faxed AND mailed a notice that I wanted to cancel the three benefits. I think a way that they scam you is that most people would assume they meant you could cancel within 30 days of receiving your membership packet at catalogs. I believe it's 30 days from the day you activate your card by calling in. Please be mindful of that and cancel if you haven't already. Then I called several times and spoke to several different people about making sure they had been cancelled. Each time they told me they had, and we even have a message saved on our answering service stating that. To this day, the money has not been removed from our checking out (fingers crossed.)

Also, we received our memebership packet right on time in the mail. We received a regular catalog, and a Fall 2001 gift catalog. The only complaint I have is that their regular catalog looks like it came right out of the 1980's. We have not ordered anything yet, and will not, until I AGAIN go over all the paperwork and fine print.

Hopefully this will give some peace of mind to someone out there. Hopefully you won't be one of the unlucky ones. Just remmeber to always be careful and read ALL of the fine print SEVERAL times over.
