CAMCO ripoff Rockford Illinois
My husband and I were also victims of CAMCO collection agents back in July 2003. I filed my complaints with the BBB, FTC and State Att. Gen. Office. In response, the compliance manager stated he releases my husband of all liability on acct and will never resell the account. I BELIEVE THEY DID RESELL!!
Since then I have been dealing with 2 new collection agencies and I'm getting ready to sue them. FYI for everyone out there you can educate yourself of your rights and on how to fight back.
Also you might like to know that CAMCO was fined by the FTC back in March 2004 in the amt of $300,000 for their violations. Doesn't sound like they have learned thier lesson!! Check out BBB Reliabily report or the Federal Trade Commission.
