Budget rent A Car Rip-Off
I rented a car in April at the Cincinnati airport. I was going to go to Florida to vist my parents, who I had not seen in 3 years. I booked the car on Yahoo travel. I put in that I wanted the car from April 4 to April 12. I wanted the extra day so I could rest. the rate came back at 149.25 so I accpeted the rate and went to pick the car up. upon travling to Florida I noticed that the cruise control would not work. which is no big deal but it would have been nice on a long trip. I tried everything to get it to work, nothing worked. upon returning the car on April 12 I was shocked to find out that the bill was not 149.25 as stated on Yahoo travel, but was 248.08 when I complaind The man
at the service desk said that because I kept the car for 8 days that is why the bill was so much. I told him that when I booked
the car I had rented it for 8 days at the rate I thought I was going to get the 149.25 when I checked my recipt I was shocked to find out that they charged me 41.99 for the extra day,19.14 for a occ chg 20.48 for tax and 17.21 for a concession fee.I feel they ripped me off by not being upfront about these charges. only after going over the Yahoo invoice did I see, Rates do not include taxes,insurance airport charges,or other incidentals. I just want everybody to know that when you get into something with today's ripoff company's make sure to read the fine print. I think I should get my money back.
