You won't get the free AOL service
I signed up for AOL Long Distance, but called first to find out how the 3 free months of AOL would work. I was told the first month would be the following month, the second free month would be after 6 months, and the last after 1 year. I have received NO free months, although AOL itself has issued me a free month as I threatened to discontinue my Internet service. I CANNOT GET THROUGH on any of the seven 800 numbers I have for AOL Long Distance, nor have my e-mails been responded to. When I do get someone and ask to speak to the supervisor (this happened twice), I get put on hold again indefinitely. I am calling the FCC about this and urge anyone else to do so as well. The practices of AOL Long Distance have made me question whether I will ever give my credit card number out for any e-service ever again.
