one thing that bothers me with these contract complants is no one talks about how they paid little or nothing for the equipment or installation of the system they expect to get a free system and be able to stop paying for the contract (that they signed) how does anyone expect a company to stay in business that way

Your experience was not much like others I've heard of. I am an expert witness in this industry and have dealt with this from the "inside" Brinks has the strongest move policy in the industry with a free premium system (basic) install, only after one year, provided you do have another 3-year agreement. Brinks gave you a 2 year with your move, great job, they didn't have to. (((competitor's neme redacted))) requires two years before they give you their move discount and it's only $100. In either situation when an alarm company signs someone up, most do a "3 year" to hopefully make something on the work and equipment. (((redacted))) mandates that you give the name and contact information to them when you move to even qualify for their move discount. Brinks won't raise your monthly ever unless you move or someone else takes over your system. No one else has that. sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company your comments on this policy are welcome!
