Hi there, Since Friday 13 July, I have had an extremely annoying BonziBuddy window which pops up on my screen, followed by another and another and another every 5 - 10 minutes. This morning alone, I was greeted by 24 of these pop up windows on my screen, which had to be closed down one by one.
It seems that one is not given any choice in terms of being able to get rid of this irritating pop up other than to be forced to download the programme in the hope the the harrassment will stop. On principle I refuse to be bullied into downloading BonziBuddy, particularly owing to the fact that it is unsolicited and also given that I made the mistake of doing so a few years ago and was unable to completely rid my PC of it for another two years.
At the current rate pop up, I am likely to be manually needing to close around 200 - 300 of these over the space of this weekend. Their website also is not at all accommodating in terms of assisting the customer to get rid of their harrassment. The only support offered that midly alludes to this is how to uninstall an already installed version of this unfortunate programme. However even within this support, they openly admit that the uninstall feature leaves several files behind on your computer, so that they can continue harrassing you for a few more years.
Frankly I feel that their highly unethical and manipulative approach to doing business constitutes abuse of the grossest kind. One simply needs to scan bulletin boards across the internet to find out how many people are irate not only about this very issue, but also several reports of how difficult it is to rid your life of this programme once you've downloaded it. So far, it seems that the only way that frustrated individuals such as my self can get through to an apparently very unapproachable company is to boycott their advertisers, and then contact the advertisers directly and let them know about it. It's unfortunate to have to go this route, but they seem to leave no other option.
These people need to learn about integrity and ethics and I hope that you have more success than I have so far. In the interim, in the course of completing this report, I have had to close down another 4 Bonzi windows, while techsupport merrily enjoys their weekend and clearly shelves complaints until Monday morning.

ad-aware is a great program for removing spyware, but.. i dont think it is thorough enough.for better protection download spybot search and destroy and spyware blaster both are free downloads from the net just do a search on each one and you will get a site to d/l them.spyware blaster runs in the background and will not let the spyware be installed.and make sure you update often as they always find ways around all software

HI I WANNA KEEP MY NAME ANONYMOUS I HAVE BEEN GETTING HARRASSMENTS FROM PEOPLE IN FRIENDS ROOM IN BINGO TOPICS I TRYED TO SOLVE IT WITH THEM BUT THERE NOT LISTENING TO ME AND THIS INDIVIDUAL IS TRYING TO GET EVERYBODOY AGAINST ME, SHE IS MAKING THE GOOD PEOPLE LEAVE THE ROOM AND MAKING OTHER 'S CRY I THINK THEY SHOULD SUSPEND THE ROOM AND LET THEM THINK ABOUT WHAT A REALLY FRIEND IS BECAUSE I DON'T THINK NONE OF THEM KNOW'S WHAT A FRIEND IS , I HAVE BEE CNRYING AND HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO SLEEP AND MY HANDS SHAKES EVEN WHEN I COME ON BEEN TRYING TO TALK TO SOMEO ONE ABOUT IT BUT NOBODY SEEMS TO WANT TO LISTEN THANKS AND I HOPE SOMETHING IS DONE ABOUT IT

Lavasoft's ad-aware spyware removal software (free to download) will kill it.... You can find it on the company's web-page...

Download the program "Ad-aware" and it will completely take all that Bonzi stuff off. Also you can remove any other spy-ware or unwanted programs off your computer. "Ad-aware" is completey free.
