"beware" of lending your CC details to an unsecured site.

I was thinking of ordering this product, and paused at the lack of security in the credit card processing. Unless they have addressed this, or will on the Ogoplex site, the do not switch you to a Secure site for the transaction (HTTPS://...). Not that this is completely uncommon, but as an avid online consumer, I am always reticent to purchase from someone who doesn't address our "respective" need for current security standards in E-commerce. Whether or not it is in fact a viable product, or their Autoship policy skirts the shady side of practices, I would simply warn any prospective buyers to "beware" of lending your CC details to an unsecured site.

THE SOLUTION IS SIMPLE

I orginally saw an ad in a Dr's office (sports Mag) for Mioplex produced by Borland! I jotted it down in my Palm Pilot and thought why not check it out. I went to Google to check out more info and after going to their home site I was going to buy the product. But then I decided to read some more of the google hits and that's when I then found this BBB site. And I'm glad I did--from now on I will screen any and ALL internet products through the lenses of these Rip-off Reports...Thanks for having a great web site! The SOLUTION is Simple and I refuse to EVER buy it or even try this product until they change this one major stumbling block----As others have already said Borland should SIMPLY STOP THE AUTO CHARGE PRACTICE or at least wait until a customer places a refill order! Look whether or not people read your literature regarding this practice is besides the point. If your product is so good people will naturally c*m back for more! (Pun intended) Jessica or whoever you are-- would you like it if a restaurant auto-charged you for an "Upcoming meal" just because you ate there once? Or just because I filled my gas tank at Exxon doesn't mean I will go there again. With this many complaints I've decided it's just not worth the hassel. This is a slezzy way to make a quick buck...because Borland is reaping profits from those poor suckers who are too busy to check their large credit card bills and so they figure --who cares about theses BBB complaints we're making enough money on those hundreds of idiots who STILL don't even know they're getting charged! Anyway if that's how your running your business...you think I would trust you with my credit card number?....you don't have to say a thing---I'll just put you in my AUTO-MATIC-DELETE program --on my Palm Pilot! Thanks again BBB for saving me the hassel!

Glad to see you took my advice and started using different states for the origination of your posts. "I dont have any respect for anyone who calls up to any customer service line and starts using profanity and starts screaming at the rep, what kinda person does that? Someone with out much sence. " Why is this, is it because you are, or were a customer service rip (sic) for this company? By the looks of your ability at grammar, you are probably not very smart, therefore, I will give you two more pieces of advice. Try using a male name next time you post. Hell, you're probably a male anyway. Second, quit trying to defend your scam here, it's pointless and only works against you. Everytime you post, it just adds one more search item for Mioplex or Boland, and each one with a negative rebuttal from somebody. Not too smart, so I imagine you must be a customer service rep for the company, but if you're higher up, I commend you on orchestrating such a large scam with such feeble mind.

Ok, I just want to add something to all this fighting. I order mioplex about a month and half ago and started using it with my boyfriend and at first I thought it was a total rip, but after sticking with it like one of the customer care reps told me to do, me and my boyfriend both started to see results. I completely agree with Jessica, and it seems so funny when someone actually likes the product of course "They are from the company..." What the hell? About the whole autoship things, I purchased mine on the internet where it says a WRITING BEFORE YOU PLACE THE ORDER, about the shipping. So I picked up the phone and talked to someone very nice and they were happy to cancel the auto shipment before it was shipped out to me. So before you go accusing the company of hanging up the phone or waiting on the line for 15 mins ( I dont know about you but have you tried calling your local credit card company? I waited over 30 mins the other day, it's because they have people calling from all over with all kinds of questions) Why you dont you just suck it up along with all the other cry babies on here and realize that YOU made a mistake and didnt read the information. I dont have any respect for anyone who calls up to any customer service line and starts using profanity and starts screaming at the rep, what kinda person does that? Someone with out much sence. Why dont you find that package your d**n first shipment came in and read the information you were suppost to in the beging, Much love,

Cincinnati or Columbus?

I have never tried Mioplex, but saw an ad in a magazine and decided to do a little research. I'm glad I did. As I suspected, there were MANY reports from consumers claiming this product is worthless, and that Boland practices misleading and fraudulent business. Anyway, I was just going to do my research and leave it at that. However, I find "Jessica's" responses insulting and feel I must respond. She tells us to --call Boland and ask for Jessica. They'll say she doesn't work there and that will prove I'm not fake.-- I'm suggesting that your name is not Jessica, so of course they'll say Jessica doesn't work there! It doesn't take a 2nd grade education to figure that out. But the funniest thing about "Jessica's" posts is, she signed the first post "Jessica - Cincinnati, Ohio". Then, when it was suggested that she must work for the company and was posting a fake response, she now claims that she's from Columbus. That just adds fuel to the fire of suspicion for me. Oh well, I don't know if this post will make the board or not, but I feel my comments are valid. I'm not posting this to flame or insult "Jessica" or Boland. I'm posting to help protect consumers from what I believe to be a fraudulent company (based on the many consumer complaints I've read), or at the very least, a fake posting on this site.

Fake Pro-Mioplex Posters

"Jessica" (who is obviously an employee or associate of Mioplex/Boland Naturals) says: "it just seems as though you are wasting your time with sitting on a computer and making responses about a charge of what was it, 59.95? Get over it." - I'll give you some business advice (Against my better judgement) Get rid of your "autoship" policy and you won't have so many complaints. Yes, your product is a scam, but if you only charged once, then most people would just say "I learned my lesson" and be done with it. But no, you rub it in with the autopay and that backs people into a corner where they feel they now have to do something about it. "If you would like, call up mioplex and see if "jessica" as you say works there." Oh O.K. that'll end the whole thing right there. If no "Jessica" works at Mioplex, then you MUST be a legitimate poster. LOL!! : ) "is that how you make money for your family is to sit on the comp and make attempts to bash a company that charged you for a program that alot of companies use, i want to be just like you!" Kinda' defensive, aren't you? Are you a little worried now? Obviously you are cause you keep posting on this site trying to defend yourself. You wouldn't do this if you weren't worried. p.s. I bet we'll start seeing postings from people in states other than Ohio for the first time now talking about how they love the product and the autoship policy.

Bob and Lon, SO sorry to offend you because you you took the product and it did nothing for your orgasm. Unfortunately, for me, it did. I wasnt sure if you noticed, but there are a lot of people who live in Ohio and could have purchased the product who dont work for the company. If you would like, call up mioplex and see if "jessica" as you say works there. I freakin live in Columbus which as you know Lon by reading your previous responses and "attempts" to bash the company in which you had the problem of not climaxing like you would have liked, is in Cincinnati! I didnt really expect to have this become a bash fest, but hey, I love this crap and will take it for as long as possible. And I guess you could put me in the category of not having a life, actually i take that back, i do. it just seems as though you are wasting your time with sitting on a computer and making responses about a charge of what was it, 59.95? Get over it. If it meant that much for you, read the information. i just wanted to see my response on this website. SO, if i offended you good. go to the attorney general, is that how you make money for your family is to sit on the comp and make attempts to bash a company that charged you for a program that alot of companies use, i want to be just like you!

People with complaints should go to the website of the OHIO ATTORNEY GENERAL and complete the online complaint form. If they get enough complaints maybe they will investigate Boland and shut them down. I really like the rebuttals in support of Boland. They had to be written by people connected to Boland, probably by Greg (the president) himself. I still want to know how Boland claims the "autoship" program is fully explained when you order and in the brochure which I have quoted in my previous responses? Boland has threatened to sue complainants in their previous defenses and I am still waiting to be served. Come on down, greg!

Another Boland Crook Writing Fake Responese

"Jessica" If you're going to write fake responses, at least change the state to one that isn't Ohio like all the fake responses come from. I don't even know why you try to cover up your fraud here. Anybody with half a brain see's all these reports and isn't going to fall for your fake posts.

Super Strong Erection

#13Consumer Suggestion

Fri, December 13, 2002

Ive taken Mioplex for 2 1/2 months and the results I have experienced are more than I could have expected because intially I thought it was some type of rip off. I received super strong erections and great orgasms that have brought me and my wife closer together during our special time. I wasnt aware of the auto ship until I called customer service and the rep informed me that when I received my shipment, there was a brochure and they pointed out to me where it was on the internet. Everything was taken care of, no harm, no foul. The reason I called is because I was experiencing erections in the middle of the night. SO, by me calling and questioning them, I also called aboout receiving two more bottles and boy did I feel bad about receiving the info and not doing anything about it. But I will deal because I cant cut out the "special time."

STOP THE NONSENSE!

#14Consumer Comment

I find it to be considerably humorous that the people who are writing these "Rip-Off" reports are making such comments and accusations. Why I find these antics to be so funny are that the people who are ordering the product don't seem to read. I say this because when I ordered my Mioplex, from Boland Naturals, I purchased from the website and on the website, when you click to order the product and also at the bottom of the first page, if you initially scroll down or even click on Customer Care questions, you will find that it tells you that there are auto-ship privledges and you can cancel by calling. When I called, I just left my name and info and they took me right off, and just to be safe, I filled out the information online as well. Then after getting the three bottles I ordered, which might I add has spruced up my sex life, there was a brochure enclosed that told me about the product and it gave a full page of enclosed documentation that stated you have become and established customer and gave their number once again to cancel the Mioplex Established Customer program. So, all of you people who are bad mouthing Boland need to take a step back and realize they are not the bad ones. If all the consumers who are so willing to have better orgasms and jump at the chance to take a product of this nature and give your credit card information out, you should be willing to adhere the consequences of not reading that information. My boyfriend and I will continue this product until we can't afford anymore. So, all of you people once again who are having a non stop b***h-fest need to call a cd club, book club, video club and even more herbal products and see how they handle their businesses. Thank you so much for you time!
