My son is Autistic. We put our names in a sweepstakes to win a car. He got a call for the prize while I was not home. He gave his credit card info. The $400 purchase declined. He told them to give the prize to someone else and hung up. Then that night he made a payment to his card, and the next morning, a full 24 hours later, BlueGreen Vacations resubmitted his credit card for billing without calling and asking for our authorization for this non-refundable vacation package fee.
Who does business this way? When the customer is through with you, what gives you the authority to charge them 24 hours after the their bank declined the purchase, and they have ended the conversation and hung up the phone? How many more times were you planning on attempting to put this through his credit card, after the phone call ended? It was put through again one full day later.
