Funny how you claim to know the details of my case, some 4 YEARS before you became the new owner. Well, to update the situation for you, since you clearly are clueless about my situation or thinking of one of the numerous other customers with problems. Through the help of Corporate (in California) I eventually was able to get Harry Lutz to return my calls. After he researched the issue himself, he admitted he was wrong, apologized profusely, and sent people out to repair my skimmer. He even had me send him my water bills (before and after the leak) and paid the portion that was spiked from the daily adding of water. Does that sound like something Blue Haven would do if they weren't reponsible for the damage Frank!
See, this is the problem with Blue Haven, they'd rather point the finger of blame back at the customer then investigate the problem and honor their warranty when at fault. Unfortunately, new ownership hasn't changed a thing. My dealings with Frank have been about my pool motor going. He tried to pass me off to Hayward, but Hayward's standard warranty is not the warranty I received from Blue Haven when I signed the contract. My Blue Haven warranty covers the motor for 5 years, and the motor went within the 5 year period. Hayward's standard warranty s for less. Frank tried to tell me that he purchased teh Manassas office, and that it is only Blue Haven in name, and that he doesn't have to honor the warranty I had with Blue Haven. Nancy Blaugh and Christine Waters from corporate said that is not true, that it is still Blue Haven, and Frank does have to honor the warranty. Frank's final response to me was "then take me to court". Mind you, we are talking about a part that is less than $300.

Eric's leak was caused by poor winterization of the pool. If you leave water in the skimmers and it freezes it will crack the skimmer. It is the customers responsibility to properly winterize the pool as clearly stated in the contract.
