Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
We are currently having a pool constructed by Blue Haven Pools. All was going well until today. We asked when our heater would be installed and the response we got was that there was no heater on the contract. Huh, we spent 30 min. at the close discussing whether or not we would need electric or propane, where to put the propane tank and the cost to heat with electric vs. propane. In my world that implies that we are getting a heater with our pool.

Just this past Monday, only 4 days ago, my husband called the sales rep and asked where/how the propane would be connected and the rep told us where specifically to connect the propane to the heater with the understanding that we are responsible for the connection....again, huh.

Now the rep tells us 4 days later that there was no heater on the contract and that the heater would cost us an additional $1500.00, third huh, how in the world could the rep know today that we did not have a heater on our contract and not on Monday when we were going thru the particulars. Is this used car salesman tactics, a scam or what?

I am in sales and pride myself in the fact that I deliver on the expectations that were set at the close. The Box for heater may have not been checked (heck, no one could even read the sales reps hand-writing when they were trying to figure out what tile we chose)on the contract, but the rep completely left us with the impression that a heater was a part of the package and has even acknowledged the conversation that we had about the heater, but "if we want to heat our pool, we are going to have to come up with an additional $1500".

Based off other "rip off reports" $1500 may be a recurring them. My advise to everyone, don't do business with a company who will not stand behind their words or the words of their sales persons.

Not So Dumb

Dear Randy in Jackson Mississippi, After reading your comment on the rebuttal, I thought it only fair to say...... 1) Blue Haven has looked into the situation and has sided with us (have you ever seen one of their hand written contracts?) 2) The VP of Sales himself has promised us a heater for our pool (not so dumb after all, huh) 3) Once again the promise has yet to be seen (proving that you can not trust anything that the company says) 4) I tried resigning from the company that I am employeed by just 2 weeks ago, and being the number 1 sales person in the company, they refused to except my resignation (probably because I do have the best record in the company and most definitely, I stand behind EVERYTHING that I tell my customers and that is why I have the biggest satisfied customer base) 5) I am certainly not mad at myself, I read the contract and asked the sales person on more than one occasion to verify what was on the contract (again, most of it is hand written, and henscratch is very hard to read) 6) Why are you sending accolades out to a service dept in Jackson Ms, when there is no listing for a Blue Haven Pools in Jackson Ms (ps, you might want to use spell ck when submitting a report, yours was very hard to understand)

You should send a certified return receipt dispute letter to owners Alvin G. Eisman and Felix Zamel and officer and CFO Ronald Zaberer to 636 Broadway, #310 San Diego, CA 92101. You may also find a Terri Tuttle on the corporation known as Blue Haven Pools National, Inc (TX) if you do a search with the TX Secretary of State. The corporate office is also known as Z&E Management, Inc. The company constantly changes its office corporation names. There were about 2000 for 50+ offices. They call them franchises. But, not so. The TX offices are company owned and hidden/masked under numerous entity names. One of the best tools is the Consumer Legal Remedies Act letter (CLRA) which is available on the Internet. You will want to state your problem as misrepresentation, fraud, deceptive trade pratices based on what the salesman promised and the fact that the writing on the contract was deliberately done in a confusing and sloppy manner; causing you to be misled by the person who was in your home as the representative of the company. Next, do a 411.com or google search where you put in the business address and get the business. If I recall, the # was 619-233-2332. In any case, you will never reach beyond the hired help in the corporate office.

After reading the ladys remarks about Blue Haven Pools concerning not getting her heater for her pool. I find it hard to believe that being a sales person you didn't read the contract! If you are is sales, the company you work for might seek to find another sales person. Contracts for made to lay out exactly what you intend to get.Carefully going over the contract with your sales person is your responsibility. It sounds to me your mad at your self for being a fool. I am aware of the company "Blue Haven Pools" and in our area. To my knowlege and to many others the reputation far exceeds the norm for pool builders. They installed my pool 3 years ago and I received everything I was promised int the contract. But of course I read mine! I just came across this looking for info on additions for my pool. I read several complaints listed under Blue Haven Pools. Some of these complaints sound legit! But most sounds like they are just mad about the little things. There are Two sides to every story and this site stress the negative. Maybe Blue Haven in Texas don't have time to set down and respond to these alligations. In all fairness lady, you screwed up. Now you are blaiming someone else for your lack of inteligence. Blue Haven Pools, Jackson Ms has the best service and build rate that I have Found

My husband and I are in the market for a new pool. I was referred to your site by a friend. The pool company I had been referred to was in fact, Blue Haven Pools. I ran across a similar situtation years ago on a hot tub heater situation. I am not interested in dealing with a company with questionable sales tactics. I own my own company and the customer is always given consideration. Being a woman, I take offense to the attitude and comments about "young lady" to Tona. This male chauvenist attitude is enough in itself to change my mind on this company. I always give my customers consideration on anything they are unhappy about. I also do not understand why the office would not give their corporate office number to a customer. This seems to me like a company that is used to irrate and frustrated customers. I will refer friends to this web site in the future. Thank you.

After posting my original report I thought it would benefit everyone to know how I was treated not only by the sales person but also the staff at the Central Expressway location in Dallas. I called the Dallas office to see if I could talk to the Manager about the situation concerning our heater. I was told by Janet Foster/receptionist that the manager was not in. I asked her to please call him on his cell phone and ask him to return my call and I explained to her how upset I was, not meaning to take it out on her, but I wanted something done and that I would call back every 30 min. until I talked to the manager. Thirty minutes later I called again, Janet said she called but could not reach the manager. I asked her if she left a voice mail and she said no, but that she would call again and leave a voice mail, but no guarantees that she could get him to respond today. I then asked about the owner of the Company, she said he was in California and did not know his number, I then asked for the number to the corporate office and she said she did not know the number. I told her that I found it hard to believe that she worked for a company and did not know the Corporate number. Her response to me was, "if I did know it, do you think I would give it to you?" Huh. 10 min. later my sales rep called me. I asked how he was doing and he said "not to good after he got the phone call concerning the pool heater". I said, "well, I am not doing to good after the call from my husband concerning the heater". His response was "there was no heater indicated on the contract", I then tried to talk to him about the conversation that we had when he came to our home on a Sunday evening to close the deal. Before I could get two words out of my mouth Joel starts telling me "whoa, whoa, whoa young lady" after trying to start the story again for the second time and again being told by Joel, "whoa, whoa, whoa", I just shut up and let him talk until he was finished. I then asked him if he were finished and asked if I could now talk without being told "whoa, whoa, whoa". I told him that I did not appreciate his cheesy used car salesman tactics, again, restated the entire conversation we had about the heater, propane vs electric, where to put the propane tank etc. and he acknowledged everything. Then he says that he went down the contract line item by line item with us.......ha, ha, ha......Never once did we go line item by line item, the only thing we spent more time on other than the heater was the tile and coping........but hey, they have a signed contract and the heater box was not checked. Of course the customer is the one who is wrong in this situation and looks like we may be SOL. Furthermore, I finally got the customer service 800# and they are only open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. GREAT!!!!!!!! Wish I could get a job there...........
