I just returned from a Blackbeard's Cruise. I have not been on lots of cruises, so this is not a bragging session. My experience with Blackbeard's was excellent. The crew could not have been more accomodating. We dove 4-5 times a day, I caught a tuna the first day. The food was great, including the Sushi, daily snacks, home made deserts, Key lime pie, cakes. The weather was not always accomodating, but the crew had little to do with that. Even with bad weather, the captain added dives the next couple of days. His actions made me feel safe. It was a fantastic time and after meeting all three crews in port at Bimini, I can't imagine the things you state. I agree that you should not mess with the crews quarters, they did not come to your home!! We did play pranks on each other, crew and divers, but they were fun and no one invaded another persons space. When you go on vacation that depends on weather, you take yur chances. When you act like kids, what can I say. Blackbeards is an adventure cruise and I loved every bit of the adventure. In fact, I told my husband that I would give up our home and job to crew the boat. He said that would end with the first nasty rude diver. He was right.

Captain Curious George and Loud Mary: if you two landlubbers can find the time, search this site for other stories of Blackbeard and their robbery at sea. Arrgh Matey! Your comments reak of shills! Perhaps you were happy just to get out, as the nervous hospital you live in doesn't have many field trips. My brother Jon was very specific in his compaints of lack of attention and customer service by those scalawag barnacles at Blackbeard. They did everything to him short of making him walk the plank! Avast! So let me send this straight to your dome: BAMMM! HAMMERTIME FOR YOU! His vacation and money were squandered and all you have time for is blowing your horn about is how many cruises you've taken. WELL SHIVER ME TIMBERS, BUT NO ONE CARES, YOU FILTHY SHILL! You dig?

In August of 2002 I was a member of a 19 person crew that chartered a 4 day cruise from Blackbeard and before the trip finished we had decided to rebook and asked Captain "YO" if we could request her crew for 2003. We are a special interest group with an age range from less than 30 to past retirement. We were treated with respect and consideration at all times. We were allowed to pick our itineriary for the day after being given options. Each dive was such that divers were able to enjoy as well as the snorkelers and swimmers. I was just finishing my Advanced Diving Certification and called ahead a couple days before the trip to ask an instructor to dive with me on one of the dives to sign off on my training log. This was done the first dive and not a problem. Every dive we were told what fish to look for, what coral and what visibility to expect. We saw the crew divers in the water everyday. We have booked for 2003 and for a 7 day trip this time, and several of our people from last trip have decided to get certified to dive this trip. Hats off for the the great vacation we enjoyed. It was our first live aboard vacation, won't be the last planned and looking forward to it.

We have used Blackbeard Cruises on four trips and each trip has been fun and memorable. We have found the crew members fun, very helpful and considerate and are treated great each time we take a trip with them. Whenever we call or return to the Blackbeard Harbor the crew and employees remember us by name. We find them very professional and no one on any trip we have taken has been treated as this person expresses. We have been on trips where the ages range from teenager to Senior citizens. We have never heard of the type of conduct or complaints as discribed. WE have taken four trips and thought we were veterans but find many other customers that can double our numbers. Sometimes people get treated the way they treat others.
