Had a a 2002 Blaizer towed in because it kept stalling out at stops and the wife ran the battery dead restarting... asked them to check the electrical. they said they performed the check and the electrical system was fine and the car needed to have the injectors cleaned and the fuel/air induction service done. My wife agreed to these services.

also they said they reprogramed the BCM. please take note none of the services they sold her had anything to do with the electrical system. She waits for the repairs and drives the car home. The problem consists she is stalling out at stops. A few days later after her days off from work she sets up an appointment to take the car in, in the morning and pick it up after work.

They call her at work a few hours later that day with a $1200.00 est. Seams the battery has a bad cell and the plug wires are arching causing 2 cylinders to miss fire. OK so basicly they are telling her NOW that there are electrical problems that didn't show up on the test they did 3 days earlier.

They will do a tune up change the oil replace the battery and "FLUSH the transmission" what's the transmission have to do with the car stalling out. Unfortunitly I was not avalible to consult with her and she ok'd the repairs. OK when did the price of a tune up oil change and transmission flush go up to 1250 dollars.

Seams a little excessive don't you think. Plus the 500 bucks we spent a few days earlier on services that had nothing to do with the problem. My poor wife is so trusting and took it that these services were needed to correct the stalling problem and they just took advantage of her every chance they could.

I truely believe the only problem with the truck stalling out was the plugwires and could have easily been repaired for under 200 dollars all the rest of the services weren't even needed, just a way for Bill Heard to bilk money out of us.

One thing i want to know is what is the difference between an injector cleaning and a fuel / air induction service They both cost 134.95...did they charge us twice for the same service and use a different name? And wouldn't injector cleaning fall under a fuel/air induction service.

Sounds like another dealer horror story.

It seems that this is typical-take your car to the dealer for repairs and regret it. I've never let a dealership touch my 1993 Crown Victoria. I use a small repair shop that we know-friends and relatives use them also. My advice-don't bother with the dealer and find a "real" repair shop.
