Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I was lied to, munipulated, and deceived not only once, but twice. First, when I purchased a van from Bill Heard Chevrolet in Union City, GA roughly a year ago. And then again today when my wife took the van in for warranty work. They charged me for brake fluid, and did not call to verify the charges through us first. I will not ever buy from Bill Heard, Chevrolet, or any GMC related products again for the rest of my life. I will also tell everyone I know to NOT buy from Bill Heard Chevrolet, or to buy any GMC product!! It takes ten good comments to over ride one bad comment. Beware Consumers!!!!

It is common practice to charge for fluids in repairs covered by warranty...read your warranty coverages and you will find that clause almost without exception. As for calling for authorization to add brake fluid....comeone, give me a brake. As to the two people that had a positive experience with Bill Heard...even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in awhile. Read some more about Bill Heard before you form an opinion. I would be shocked if they did what they said and treated anyone with respect, didn't take over four hours to complete a simple car deal, didn't add a bunch of charges for un-needed items and didn't try to rip them off on financing.

I have first hand information from my husband that is an ex-employee of Bill Heard on how the Sales Meetings were in the AM. Referring to African Americans as roaches, illiterate, and down right stupid. If you really knew the scvoop on Bill Heard Chevrolet-Union City you wouldn't be so quick to defend them. We as African Americans are the biggest Consumers in the Auto Industry, and yet we are left to feel intimidated because people like the ones at Bill Heard Chevrolet think they have an advantage. We all need to become educated on the car buying business rather it relates to bill Heard or not.

Hey Sharron... They treated you alright, correct? How much of a dealer fee did you pay, $600? They treated you right? Why didn't they advertise the car with the $600 "fee" in the price instead of quoting you a price for the car and then claiming the $600 dealer fee was for administrative costs? They treated you right? Did they etch your windows with the VIN claiming the insurance company requires that and then charge you $150-$300? They treated you right? Did they tell you the window etching was required by law enforcement? When you scroll thru this EXCELLENT website is there 35+ reports about this "world class" dealership chain? Why is it that Mr. Big Volume is in BIG TROUBLE in Florida? Why has Mr. Big Volume had to pay a BIG CIVIL PENALTY ($300,000+) for BIG TIME FRAUD? Why is Mr. Big Volume the object of a BIG CLASS ACTION SUIT in Florida? I will probably buy a GM product again but I have never bought anything from a Bill Heard store and NEVER WILL. They are "WORLD CLASS" alright. Guess in what area of expertise?

The above poster says we should not take it out on the "product"; that may be right...but doesn't GM have an obligation to the people who loyally buy the prodict and get bad treatment from the dealer? Maybe consumers hsould complain about the dealer directly to GM as well and say we wont buy the product until you properly regulate those dealers who sell it....

#6UPDATE EX-employee responds

I used to work for Bill Heard Chevy, and though I am not defending the company, I would like to defend their product.

Firstly, I agree with the first comment of how the dealership should have cleared any costs with the owner before doing any repairs. However, if the vehicle was in for warranty work why are you paying for anything? Secondly, the second comment about how well the people were treated by their salesperson: very cool! As a saleslady myself, we like to hear of good treatment. I go the extra mile for my customers also. The end comment of how you were treated reflects how you treat people was very astute.

As a loyal owner of General Motors vehicles, I plead with you; please don't take your anger out on the product. It is the person you are angry at.

Bill Heard is just a company trying to make a buck. Obviously, there are more than two people out there that are happy with Bill Heard, that's why they have 17 dealerships across the country.

IN OCTOBER 2000, I RECEIVED A COUPON IN THE MAIL FROM "BILL HEARD CHEVROLET". WE VISITED AND HAD THE BEST SALESMAN WHO DID NOT "RIP US OFF". WE PURCHASED A NEW Z-71 SHORT BED 4X4. THE TRUCK IS EXCELLANT.

THE FOLLOWING WEEK I WENT AND PURCHASED ME A 2001 CAVALIER AND I STILL LOVE IT. IT CAME WITH FLOOR MATES THAT I DID NOT HAVE, MY SALESMAN DROVE TO MY WORK AT HIS LUNCH AND BROUGHT THEM TO ME.

LATER, I HAD A SMALL MECHANICAL PROBLEM WITH MY CAR, THEY CAME TO MY WORK IN FOREST PARK, PICKED IT UP AND LEFT ME A LONER. MAYBE SOME PEOPLE GET TREATED THE WAY THEY TREAT PEOPLE.

ALOT OF TIMES WHEN THERE ARE PROBLEMS, IT IS BECAUSE OF THE ATTITUDES OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER WORKED FOR THE PUBLIC.
