After studied this site for some time and patterns led me to believe their was shill bidding going on (a CRIME). I was watching this auction of a bracelet I had saw often this time it caught caught my attention as the inital bid was very high. This bracelet normally sold for around 500.

The starting bid was 500. As it progressed to the last 10 mins a bid of 1005 went on (by a customer) then another for 2050 then another for 4055 there were three names involved. I believe one was the customer the other 2 shillers.

At the last 3mins of the auction the last 2 bids just dissapeared..the bid auto went to 1005... then and the customer won it.

I TOOK A COPY of the history of that auction although I did not catch a copy of the last 2 bids that had been removed. I contacted live suppoirt and asked them what went on and why could they so easily REMOVED the last 2 bids? I know that can only be done by the site and NOT the bidder. A bidder cannot remove his/her bid. I was told they would forward my request the proper department. Then they shut me off. They got caught! I kept the copy of the history of that auction....as no way can the 2 top bids just disapear 3mins before auction end, but they did, and that is obvious manipulation. And a waste of time reporting shillers to the shillers!

Today, I see familiar names I recognize from some items that I bidded on.

After reading the awful things about this company and watching this obvious shill..I then decided to cancel an order I had with them pending and not shipped I went to Live support. Live support had a conversation with me telling me I will be refunded in FULL, it would take 2 weeks. I also have a copy.

Today, I got an email with a different story saying sorry for the confusion but we are keeping the 33.00 fee for an apprasal I ordered on the bracelet I dont want.

I told them there was no confusion as I had a copy of the live chat. I dont need the apprasial without the item. I sent them a copy of their 5 day policy for Credit Card Merchants and the right to cancel up to 5 days. (Statewide) and a copy of the live chat. I have since gotten a different email saying it would be cancelled in 5-7days. no mention of them keeping the 33.00 (or more) yet...but I suspect there will be a large deduction. I informed my credit card company of this cancellation and will do a chargeback, if needed.

Also, another strange thing happened, when I went to live chat to cancel my order and told them my issue the rep Mathew immediately sent me a link to go to and told me he would be waiting. The link took me to a form which had all my info but needed my credit card info to be added?

Normally, when one pays thru BIDZ it is a 3rd party merchant secure server that they pay monthly fees to.. that collects then passes to them..they do not collect directly, so they would not have my CC info.

But bidz wanted me to give them my credit card info direct via this link...so as they would have it? and not the merchant that deals with payments for them.

I asked why do you want my CC info, your merchant has it, I am not here to give out my personal CC info, was it to charge me directly yourselves at another time? I have no idea why the form with red writing accross the top which says: This has been sent from a member of Live Support.. would send to me it had all my info there name/address etc but blank and needing the CC info, when the issue had nothing to do with payment paid, it was a question to cancel the order.

I told him I was not giving it and that I was there to cancel my order not give out my personal info. I have copies of that link and live chat.

There is something seriously wrong here I told them in an email you might get away with this in China but this is America!

SHILL BIDDING/AUTO BIDDING/BID RIGGING

From what I gather, why would your company charge for an appraisal--if the item being appraised was CANCELLED. You mean to say your company would go ahead and send the appraisal knowing---the item being appraised as well as the whole order--- is cancelled? Or, would you just charge for the appraisal-- but not send it?---which? Are you aware of your own Credit Card Mechant Statement which by Law says an order can be cancelled with and up to a 5 day period?. This will be very interesting as this situation borders very highly on unfair business practices, getting nothing for nothing, and violating the right to cancel. As for shill bidding, let me inform you that a BUYER /regular customer visiting your site to buy-- cannot shill bid --lets not get confused with your other categories and other sellers on your site, that is what you mean by not tolerating shill bidding ---you mean--from your other sellers/other auctions that you allow to use your site--lets not get confused. I refer to your site and you as the SELLERS of your stuff. Do as I say, not as I do? Shill bidding manual or auto is done/arranged by the SELLER to inflate the price of the item. California's Business & Professions Code 17200, which prohibits "unfair or fraudulent business act[s] or practice[s] and unfair, deceptive Shills in auctions Many online auction sites employ sophisticated (and usually secret) methods to detect collusion, and a number of people have been sent to jail for online auction fraud in the past decade.
