"This was a very minor incident."
Yes it was until you decided to be a p***y and build it into something bigger.

Dear Customer,
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your purchase and we offer our sincere apologies that you were unsatisfied with your experience. We assure you that we treat all customer feedback seriously. We wanted to address a few of the issues mentioned in your post.
Shipping cost:
Shipping fees are based on the price that FedEx charges us. We are constantly working directly with FedEx to lower the cost for our customers. In order to save on shipping most customers buy in bulks.
Damaged merchandise:
We stand behind our products 100%. In case you received a damaged or not as described item you can return it for a full refund.
Shill bidding:
Bidz.com does not tolerate any sort of shill bidding. It is illegal and we automatically deactivate accounts that try to do it on purpose to sabotage the auctions. We checked the usernames mentioned in your post and judging by the purchase history we can assure you that those are our customers.
We hope that explanation provided above will reframe your opinion and concern about Bidz.com. We sincerely thank you for your input and would like to hear from you regarding this post or any other concerns at [email protected]

Update: There is no question in my mind that Bidz.com employs shill bidders. A few weeks ago, I bid on approximately 20 items and I watched other bidders, along with my bids, get outbid. I quit bidding and let many of the items go to "someone else". Here is the interesting part: 6 of those items arrived in my email - IMMEDIATELY - with a SCO (a second chance offer). And, No, these were NOT Bidz offers to buy the same item for a price. They were SCO's - period. How suspicious is it that these items arrived immediately after the bid had closed AND arrived in my email even though someone else had bid ABOVE me but BELOW the winner. Did the bidder who bid above me also get a SCO as I did? And this isn't just a matter of someone bidding up just for the fun of it (i.e. only to have their Bidz accounts later revoked). These are BIDZ people jacking up the costs - period. Think about it. Bidz can always relist their items. So Bidz can continue to relist items while shill bidders work against the honest bidders until Bidz is satisfied with the price they get.
Go to Jewelry Television (jtv.com) you can get BETTER jewelry at HONEST prices.
BIDZ MUST be investigated (this shouldn't be too difficult since they should keep clear records - right?).

This is to update my previous comment on shill bidding. I strongly suspect that Bidz DOES have shill bidders. I was outbid on 2 auctions by alicia28t and tisha123. Both outbid auctions immediately ended up in my checkout as second chance offers (SCO's). I mean IMMEDIATELY. The next day I went in to see that alicia28t was still bidding. I printed out/archived all information and kept the email (regarding the SCO's) as proof. This isn't the first time this has occurred. I will NO longer do business with Bidz. Obviously, they are jacking up their bids. If alicia28t and tisha123 truly were unable to pay, why would Bidz allow them to continue to bid? The Bidz rule is to suspend their accounts. Bidz needs to be investigated. Also, I am CERTAIN that the shill names will change once this update is posted as it is regularly monitored by Bidz (notice their rebuttal comments on other Rip-Off reports). I had previously suspected shill bidding and am now absolutely convinced it is true. You do not receive SCO's on outbid items immediately, then see the same bidders logged in the next day or day after, etc. What is going on Bidz!? Explain this one to the Rip Off report readers. No double talk, just an explanation. And I don't want to hear about systems problems, dishonest users (you wouldn't/shouldn't let them continue), or some other deplorable excuse.
